I can’t think of anything which sums up Patrick Reed as well as that.

You mean a maligned competitor repeatedly accused of cheating being the poster boy for a league funded by a government that openly executes journalists who disparage them?

I'm half-kidding.

That's weird.  You actually speak to people?  YUK !!!
At the halfway point, with DJ in 5th place, and Taylor Gooch tied for 8th place, I would take a wild guess and say there's a 10% chance someone from the LIV tour will win The Open Championship. Now, you might say, "So what?" But I think such a thing would significantly raise the reputation of the LIV tour. It also might be the last chance a LIV golfer has of winning a major championship.

He seems like a good fit to be on the broadcast for a team-style event.

I read that Barkley is meeting with LIV to potential be part of the broadcast team, too.
Well, at least some of that oil money is coming back.

I can't blame the guy; he's 63 years old, and probably thinking about retirement.

Cam Smith might be headed to LIV also.  I read a rumor that they had offered him $110 million.

I’m sure Feherty has been compensated well over the years. Retirement income is probably the least of his concerns. My guess is he sees the LIV as something fresh and new. He’s not your typical buttoned down golf analyst. If they get Sir Charles onboard it will be a hoot.
My son texted me:

“Big rumors that Mark Lieshman, Henrik Stetson, Bubba Watson, Hideki, Tommy Fleetwood and Cam Smith received bids for LIV.”

I could see all going except Smith and Hideki.

I think Cam Smith is going.  They asked him several times at the Open whether he was going, and he refused to answer.

He would be a huge catch for them.  He's #2 in the OWGR right now.  He might want to wait until after the Fedex Cup Playoffs.  It's got an $18 million first prize.

All those other guys on that list fall into that "veteran, not as competitive as he used to be" category, but not Cam Smith.  He's in a whole different category.

I didn’t hear about him being asked about it. Interesting.

I looked it up. https://golf.com/news/cam-smith-dodges-l...ion/?amp=1

The only issue with pulling a star player in his prime is that they really need 12 of those guys to have league parity in their team format.

Not that the add is "bad" for LIV - but it will put other teams behind the 8 ball.
Cam would need to have 3 trash players on his team to level things out.   LOL
Henrik Stenson joining LIV and will be removed as Europe's Ryder Cup Captain

That had to be a tough decision for him. Captaincy of a Ryder Cup team is no small thing in the life of a professional golfer. At the same time, this is an opportunity for him to make a sizable chunk of money at the end of the prime of his career.

End of his prime is being more than kind. Guy can't make a cut this year or any money. Might as well take the cop out payday.
Waiting for the LIV to sign on Fuzzy Zoeller.
