#86 in the official world golf rankings.

Of all the millions of amateur golfers and thousands of professional players, only 85 are ranked better than him in the entire world.

He’s such a loser.
Phase 1 projected to cost $1.2 trillion. I think LIV is sustainable, boys:

Well, they created downhill snow skiing in the desert, so how tough could a 100 mile long city be? If I were an architect, i'd be salivating to work on this.

The players that are being signed definitely fit a certain profile.

Jeff Prosser calls it the Midlife Crisis League. Smile

I get your point but it isn’t like there’s a yawning chasm between the top 10 and #86. All of these guys are still playing top tier golf.

I heard Watson got $53M. I don’t know if that’s a fact but it’s what I heard thrown out on the radio.

I call it the SHOW ME THE MONEY league.

Phil won his last major at age 50.  Bubba is only 44.  Does anyone think it's impossible for him to win another?  Any given weekend....
Bubba fits the bill. Washed guy taking a payday.
Henrik Stenson relinquished his Ryder Cup captaincy for a $4,250,000 paycheck this week. Not bad.

The cash flow is endless, and the attrition continues........  PGA officials have to be getting close to panic mode.

Not yet. If Cam Smith goes over, they might start getting nervous. Especially if Korn Ferry and players out of college start signing up.
Cam's gawn!
[BLEEP] them all.  They did their cash grab.

“Hurting their careers”.  You have to be [BLEEP] kidding me.  They got MILLIONS of dollars for doing nothing…for simply agreeing to play for that tour.  What a bunch of whores.

Looks like anti-competative behavior to me, especially when the PGA haven't imposed the same sanctions against players who decide to play on the Asian or European Tours

The LIV players were free to play on the PGA Tour as long as they followed the PGA Tour rules.  When they joined the PGA Tour, they agreed to abide by those rules.

Those rules include that you have to play a minimum number of tournaments, and you have to apply for permission to play a non-PGA Tour event.  The LIV players want to be able to cherry-pick PGA Tour tournaments to play in, and they want to play LIV events without getting permission from the PGA Tour.

No one is excluding them from the PGA Tour.  They are free to play the PGA Tour, as long as they qualify, and as long as they abide by the rules of the PGA Tour.
We knew this was coming.

Totally agree. +1. If you are going to exclude, at least be consistent.

Citing the PGA's 'rules of exclusion' isn't an argument against the issue here, which is free market competition.

You can't make anti-competative rules and when you re-read what you wrote, the anti-competative rules stick out like the proverbial.
Smith has signed with LIV. Well done to whoever predicted that earlier.
