I'm just say right now it looks like a downward sprial could start again or our Jags.   Doug needs to really really relly work with the team to make sure theres no way jags loose to Texans next sun.

Its a big game, and is a must win division game.

You make a fair point Wolfie and it's the worry I have at the back of my head. This team could take this L one of two ways. Use it as a learning experience or an experience that breaks them. Jags teams of recent years I would be worried it would break them but it feels different with Doug and the way they reacted to the loss in Washington tells me this team is built differently. They've had the taste of winning and they are learning that if we play smart, mistake free football, we are a pretty good team.

Its a young team, a team learning and we will have the ups and downs this year but I have faith that next Sunday we will be celebrating a good W and things looking positive again.

17-0 or they are all busts.

And if the player I say is rubbish has a bad game then I'm right and everyone else is wrong. See told you so!

It's something like that isn't it?!

There are more people that are the exact opposite though, heck some go crazy after 1 good/great play.

We've had people here that overhyped or defended to death:

Gene Smith
Bortles
Bradley
Caldwell
Chaisson
CJ Henderson
Viska
Ngakoue
Even Meyer and Tebow lol

True but a lot of that is down to the hard bleak decade(s) it has been being a Jags fan. When we have a player that actually looks like they may be good you hope it's the guy that can take us forward.

Whats weird is celebrating a player on a team you 'support' having a rough game and running to the message board to say how much they suck and how right you are. Get a hobby.

Two interesting tidbits from NFL.com:

Next Gen stat of the game: Trevor Lawrence recorded his lowest completion percentage over expected of his career with a mark of -21.1% on Sunday.

NFL Research: Trevor Lawrence's four fumbles lost were the most in a single game by any quarterback since at least 1991, and his five giveaways were the most in a game in Lawrence's career.

Erm....records were made to be broken?  Big Grin
The difference of being realistic and jumping off the bridge... But trolls will be trolls... they're here just to make comments when the team is doing bad... And I can name a handful or more

Peyton Manning once had a 6 interception game.  No, it's not good, but players occasionally have bad games and the rain definitely played a huge role in today's game.

That and fumbles in the rain aren’t the same as bad interceptions right to defenders where weather isn’t a factor.  Lawrence will be fine.  We’ll be fine.

And I've seen roethlisberger throw five interceptions on a good day... Weather wise... But I agree will be fine
We had a lot of turnovers, and still kept it a game. The NFC East just has our number. Plus the Eagles are a really talented team. Disappointing? Yes. But this was a winnable game. Gotta get those mistakes under control. But if we do.... the league better watch out.

Agreed. That's my only real frustration is that it was game we could have won but our mistakes cost us. They will learn from these games. Its week 4, a lot of football left and a nice run of games that we can get wins and get on a roll. I'm not saying we have to be a playoff team but 8-9+ wins looks a possibility if we play smart and limit the mistakes.
Tough loss against the best team in football right now. Turnovers were just too much to over come. The defense was gassed due to time on the field. Time to reset and get ready for Houston next week.

8-9 wins might take this Division.

Clearly as of now the front runners are us and the tacks. We'll start to see how the Division may play out these next 2-3 weeks. Each team plays a Divisional game in 2 of these next 3.

Absolutely. The division games are huge and i think Houston is a great game to have next. The haven't won yet but they've not played too badly. Then a trip to the Colts which will be a good test and if we can win those two and be 4-2, 3-0 in the division we are in a good spot. I think we can  beat Denver in London and Oakland looks a winnable game and we could be 6 wins just there.

The T*tans games will be the tough ones and seeing where we are but even if we split those games and can beat Houston on the road we could be 5-1 in the division. Gives us a big advantage.
Dang, we're back to .500 again. Better than being 0-4 like we were before, not as good as we could be at this point.

So getting hit and fumbling as you throw is self induced...You really are a troll aren't you.... it's sad that you constantly seek attention....
Have to lose sometimes but this one is annoying because jags could have been up 17-0 or 21-0 . Then we know what happened. The rain should not be that big of an issue if it was. Also, this is the first time we got out coached. Anyways, everything is ok. 2-2 is nice even though it could be better, and we all know it!
I just watched the highlights again. t-law had the fumbles flu today. He needs to practice ball control in the rain
We win the opener if the defense doesn't let the Commies score 14 unanswered points.

We most likely win today if we don't turn the ball over 5 times.

Both offense and defense share in the losses.

Is 2-2 nice? Sure, it's beats 0-4, which sadly is what we are used to. But we could have won the opener and should have won today. On the two non-contact fumbles, we literally gave it away.

It definitely feels like we could be 4-0 if not for the self-inflicted issues in this game and the opener. Young teams and players do occasionally struggle for consistency and I suppose this season so far is a case in point.

He only blames the QB for the botched snap as well. Beginning to think he's got a crush on Trevor the way he just "like, can't even with him, ugh!"

Yep, and for the first time in years this group really looks like they could be gooooood.
We're four games in. Yes, I wanted to win this game for the team and Pederson BUT losing comes w/the territory. It's the first season of the coaching staff and we're still in the learning stages. We'll get there.

Time Will Tell.

NH3...

I expect this group, and staff, to take this game and use it as fuel to go kick the teeth in of the Texans. Trevor is going to throw for 400 yards and the defense gets 5+ sacks
