There are still so many holes on this team. On the bright side, we will still be able to go BPA in the draft without worry. I don't know if there is a single position on this team that we are just super strong on besides RB.
In regards to the officiating

I guess it's one of those things where the team that's been more consistent the last few weeks gets the benefit of the doubt

Exactly. That's why I think it's just a matter of time before it clicks

I've given Trevor props when he does well, and criticized him when he does stupid [BLEEP].

But there are a group of people on this board that thinks Trevor does no wrong and they blame everything on play calling, the defense, refs, etc.

I want Trevor to succeed. I want him to be our QB of the future. But I also see all the garbage [BLEEP] that he does.

The biggest thing I see with Lawrence is that the game is still moving too fast for him for parts of the game. That honestly explains why he lets passes go a half beat too seen, locks on receivers, assumes where a WR will be with pressure, doesn't get appropriate touch/lift on some of the deep shots.

For most players that slows down eventually. and I think that will help him avoid many of his mistakes. Unfortunately, you just have to live the mistakes until it does.

Having said that, it doesn't always slow down for every QB. Some continue to make the same mistakes in when the game "speeds up too much" or something appears way too unfamiliar.

We just don't know yet which path he will go down.

They need to add another QB via the draft or free agency to challenge Lawrence though. He needs to hit those deep passes man. No excuses for that. He's anti David Garrard. Instead of Captain Checkdown he's Sailor Sails A'Lot.

Agreed, some think this is progress and what's supposed to happen.  Last year was progress from the year before which doesn't mean [BLEEP].  When this team starts winning is when we start seeing progress.  These moral victories are bs and for losers

Agreed. This is a competitive team. I get it makes everyone even more frustrated because they appear so close so often.

That is a major upgrade over the most the past 10 or so years.

Yes he can but it's play calling and coaching just like the fact we didn't challenge clear first downs

So the coaches don't trust him to make those throws.

Of course. And I haven't been one of those people that has said "draft a new QB!"

I don't WANT to have to draft a new QB. He has this year and next to really prove he can be the guy though. This years draft isn't great for QBs anyways.

They will....this one I completely 100% blame on refs... how many holdings did I see that weren't called...blatant first downs!!! And I blame my [BLEEP] coach for not challenging these... He's done it in weeks past....challenge the f****** first downs.... if I can see it from my freaking living room a ref on the sideline should be able to see it.... And whoever our team has in the upper booth should be seeing it too.... I mean it's completely unexcusable to not challenge a spot that's clearly a yard over the marker... TWICE!!!!!
I was sitting next to giants fans at the sports bar. After we watched the bad spots, the no-call on giants offensive holding, the bs call of PI in the endzone, after all of that, they were sincerely upset that the refs didn't call the collision between Campbell's shoulder and Saquons helmet towards the end. They really didn't see that the refs were for the Giants!

Why cuz they clearly have a refs in their pocket... Zero holding calls clearly first downs marked short.... Pass interference calls not called

Good teams over come that sorta stuff.
Its been a common thing now for at least 3 weeks in a row, and here it is again for 4 straight weeks. At some point midway thru the 3nd qtr, ETN had 97 yards rushing and we were leading the game. He finished with 114. Now maybe the other team is adjusting to the run, but what appears to be abandoning the run seems to be a real pattern that puts more pressure on the passing game. The last drive was pretty good tho, even if it was aided by penalties. We def had more than a punchers chance.

That's almost never the case for us.

We end up abandoning the run every week. We start with it, but it dies down by the end of the game.

Yup, pathetic.

Agreed. We sit back and throw stones at a team that’s young, but competitive and our fans can’t even bother to support them. We asked for improvement from last year and we’re getting that, despite some bad breaks. Our fans? No where to be seen in a sea of BLUE - and I don’t want to hear ‘I’ll show up when they win’. Fans from other teams aren’t gonna buy that garbage and label us as fair weather fans, which will lead to more ‘Their fans don’t deserve an NFL team’.

Agreed. I think that's what's frustrating everyone, this team is competing and should be winning games we are letting slip away. I can see us having a game soon where the D start getting 3 and outs, we cut out the stupid mental errors and penalties and absolutely whoop someone.

Lol, last year was pouring gasoline on the dumpster fire of this team. Only you would think last year was any kind of progress.

Who knows It's the same coaching staff that hasn't challenged blatant first downs in several games... Who continue to go for it on 4th and 1 instead of challenging it.... When it's an easy challenge....and blowing timeouts for other stupid crap
