Daniel Jones just threw for 200 yards and ran for 100 yards on this defense. I get there were a some of bad calls and no calls, but still.

No one is blaming this loss on Trevor.
It's a team loss today. All three aspects failed in situational football today. Offense with the turnover. Sailed passes in the end zone. Defense failing to make any plays and get off the field when they needed to and coaching decisions leading to turnover on downs and a missed opportunity to potentially go up 20 to 13.

Yeah. Said that earlier. Every week it's a "first". Pretty wild considering how awful some of the teams have been here over the years and the fact that they're somehow competitive and in these games late.

Can't take away turnovers - Foye's stupid penalty taking away Lloyd's INT.
Can't have costly turnovers - ETN cost us points. Would have been 1st and Goal at their 5 yard line.
Can't take points away from yourself - Should have challenged the Kirk spot it was a 1st down, but you have to kick that FG. Kick that FG and we only need a FG at the end of the game to tie it for OT.

The Defense was awful again today, but ultimately those above are what really cost us the game. They potentially left 10 points off the board and we lost by 6.

The refs screwing us sure didn't help either. Definitely some sketchy officiating today.
Today was my first Jaguars home game. I can’t believe how many Giants fans there were. Was that normal?

This was my first post covid and have not seen anything like this in the past.  Steelers bring a lot of fans but this was stupid today.

You gotta be kidding me.

No. Giants, Steelers & Cowboys fans travel well or at least turn out from underneath the sewer system here in Jacksonville when their teams are relevant.

??? Robinson didn't get a single touch today.

Sorry could have sworn he had two carries

Not typical but some teams bring more than others and as fewer and fewer Jags fans show up at the games over the years, the visitors stand out more.

He was barely on the field today, which is one of the biggest question marks of the day. I know ETN was cookin, but it was like Meyer was back with the way they treated J Rob today. He was the RB on the field when they ran the QB sneak twice for the TD. Just a weird scene overall.

I asked about this in another thread.  Was at the game and was curious why Robinson was not on the field.

Could probably count on two hands the amount of snaps JRob got today. No clue.

I get it but ETN is hot He's averaging like 7 yd a carry how could you move away from that... Especially if he's not showing that he's tired.... My biggest question mark And has been over a few games this week is how you don't challenge blatant first downs... yet waste crucial timeouts

But there are a group of people on this board that thinks Trevor does no wrong and they blame everything on play calling, the defense, refs, etc.

I want Trevor to succeed. I want him to be our QB of the future. But I also see all the garbage [BLEEP] that he does.

There is a temptation to defend his mistakes because we do desperately want him to be a true franchise QB. And the idea of a number one pick busting when he was forecast to be a generational talent is almost unthinkable.

What should be obvious is that he's a remarkably talented kid who still has a lot of upside. What should also be obvious is that the transition to the NFL has been rougher than almost everyone predicted. Doesn't mean he can't get there but to your point, we shouldn't overlook his mistakes. Criticism or praise should be earned based on performance not on what we hope should happen.

I've been critical but I think the positive is still mostly outweighing the negative. But he definitely has a lot of room for improvement.
This ^^^^
17 runs vs 43 passes.
The range of outcomes for todays game based on gameflow were jags lose close, jags win close or jags win big. Obviously we lost close which is a tough pill to swallow given another week of self inflicted wounds.

Best of luck to the giants the rest of the way. I can’t help but feeling like they’re headed to the playoffs but will be bounced out in the 1st round.

They for real outnumbered us in the stands today. I’ve seen 50/50 crowds. Not sure I’ve ever seen 60/40 in favor of the opposition though. They’re supporting their winning team well though.

At the game they kept trotting him back and forth onto the field. They were trying to confuse NYs defense but he was always trotted off.

On the radio they were citing a comment by some team official who said they were looking out for JRobs health without going into details. It leads me to believe his Achilles is acting up.

Injury would really be the only explanation for what was going on today. Would make sense.

It's becoming exceedingly frustrating. Especially in close games and when it's clearly effective in the game. Pederson can't seem to get out of his own way at times.

There's just no reason for Lawrence to drop back 40 or more times per game. 20 - 25 times is adequate in these games and they should be using his legs just like Jones did today for the Giants.

Robinson had no carries today as well. Which is just disrespectful.

If true. That sucks.
