Seems to me everything seems to be going well until Doug completely abandons the run in the second quarter every game

That is a major upgrade over the most the past 10 or so years.

Agreed. I think that's what's frustrating everyone, this team is competing and should be winning games we are letting slip away. I can see us having a game soon where the D start getting 3 and outs, we cut out the stupid mental errors and penalties and absolutely whoop someone.

No what is frustrating me is the lack of a “rising up” from our QB. You were drafted number one overall. Play like it

Good teams over come that sorta stuff.

LMAO... My girl said the same thing... but it when it's relentless it's impossible to win.... And when you have equal teams going up against each other one single bad call can change a game.... So I called BS on that one
the giants gave Daniel Jones time, and it seems to be paying off

I like Doug a lot, but this is concerning to me as well.

Pederson abandon's the running game faster than Pfizer abandon's any real questions regarding it's vaccine efficacy.

Agreed. We sit back and throw stones at a team that’s young, but competitive and our fans can’t even bother to support them. We asked for improvement from last year and we’re getting that, despite some bad breaks. Our fans? No where to be seen in a sea of BLUE - and I don’t want to hear ‘I’ll show up when they win’. Fans from other teams aren’t gonna buy that garbage and label us as fair weather fans, which will lead to more ‘Their fans don’t deserve an NFL team’.

It's a fair point and now Goodell has a Europe division on his mind and the dollar signs in his eyes you worry. Khan must get the comments when the owners meet that he's not putting enough in the pot.

I completely understand why the locals feel the way they do and what they have paid to watch over the years but look at 2017, there's still a strong fanbase that will show up.

Abandoning the run and being pass heavy has been a thing that Philly fans hated about him. Our team is not built to be a pass first team.
Caldwell can't coach. Blitz, blitz, and more blitz. A mobile QB will kill you and your secondary has their back to the QB because they're in Man or at most Man/Zone.

[BLEEP]. Criticizing the game and team. 2 - 5 is tough to work back from. Season will have a few more high moments for sure. Ill be around. Just to annoy you if you keep it up sweetheart.

Or how about not challenging blatant calls and then blowing timeouts

This is the one time I would welcome being inoculated against this sort of result.

I predict next week is when this team turns the corner.

If you had to rank the problems on this team, where would Lawrence be on that list?
I think once we get that sweet taste of victory back next week, then we are going to go on a little win streak.

Mehhh. Idk man. This year has had a lot of "firsts". Good and bad. I could see this defense giving Wilson a career day like they did Ryan and Lawrence playing another good game that tops his previous crazy stat of being 20/22 in a loss. He'll go 28 / 30 next weekend.

Okay okay okay a lot of [BLEEP] things happened in this game that could have led to win.... besides all the other things that happened we were up and going down the field... in field goal range we had the first down twice and failed to challenge it.... Because it was a freaking first down!!! Two things could have happen we either get a touchdown or we get a field goal either or we win this game ....I blame coaching.... How could you not challenge those first downs...maybe not the first time but the freaking second time when he was clearly over.... I mean the first one was more blatant than the second one I mean a freaking yard...I mean we're talking 3 ft over.... Instead we give the ball back to them and they march down and scored touchdown.... You guys want to argue everything else but this was literally the biggest [BLEEP] in the game

(10-23-2022, 04:45 PM)rpr52121 Wrote: [ -> ]The biggest thing I see with Lawrence is that the game is still moving too fast for him for parts of the game. That honestly explains why he lets passes go a half beat too seen, locks on receivers, assumes where a WR will be with pressure, doesn't get appropriate touch/lift on some of the deep shots.

For most players that slows down eventually. and I think that will help him avoid many of his mistakes. Unfortunately, you just have to live the mistakes until it does.

Having said that, it doesn't always slow down for every QB. Some continue to make the same mistakes in when the game "speeds up too much" or something appears way too unfamiliar.

We just don't know yet which path he will go down.

Of course. And I haven't been one of those people that has said "draft a new QB!"

I don't WANT to have to draft a new QB. He has this year and next to really prove he can be the guy though. This years draft isn't great for QBs anyways.

I'm good with Lawrence I think. It just appears he's on the "Daniel Jones" route of growing rather than the "Mahomes" route.

Look ar how poised Jones was today. That has taken him what 3, 4, years? Before this year he was seen as a bust, NY fans wanted him gone, and he looked like trash even with pretty good WRs.

Looks like Lawrence needs 2 more years. He plays like a timid rookie. Not just a rookie but a timid rookie.
