Wipe them out.... all of them. Destroy them so they don't recover even with an off season. Young team needs to win to keep things going.
Play the long game. See the bigger picture. Sit the starters after halftime. Dont play anyone injured that could play if needed, but will be ready and more healed up against the Tacks. While i hope they win, it ll be a disaster if key players get hurt during what is essentially a meaningless game. Leave the emotion out of this and save the emotion for when it really counts in week 18.

ugh

I swear - if this team really is on its way to dominating the division and upsetting NFC teams on the road regularly, one of the best things to come out of it is not getting stuck with the D-List broadcast.

A lot of the cbs teams are annoying to me when watching the jags .

CBS broadcasting in general this year has been tremendously bad. Between the audio cutouts, etc. Not sure if it's just our games but some of them have been frustrating to watch at times. ESPN is also annoying now on MNF. Is it just me, or, does Steve Young look very, very aged for 61? I hope he's ok health wise. He just seems older than I remembered.

TNF is also hit or miss for me broadcasting wise. Sometimes I like Michaels with the college dude and sometimes I don't. I don't really watch CBS halftime or pregame shows anymore. Same for FOX. I know Marino had that little love child fling that cost him his role on CBS but I really liked him on that panel over the years. Way more than Phil and Boomer trying to exchange jabs.

SNF is just... poop for me. Don't care for Collinsworth. Don't care for Tirico. Broadcasting just isn't the same anymore. Nantz and Romo are good. I'll give them that. Maybe Brady can salvage some hope when he retires.

I don't think Al Michaels knew our players at all.  There were several plays Thursday night where he didn't name our player.  I think he's getting old.

Michaels has had a great run, but it's time to hang up the microphone.

You're 100% correct - he's not as sharp, and he definitely didn't do his homework for that game like he used to.

Steve Young had a stoke a few years ago. He hasn't been or looked the same since.

That's sad. Something seemed off. Wasn't aware he had a stroke. Damn you Wikipedia for not giving me the skinny on that one.

Majority of the time I just go to a local bar to watch the Jags so really don't get the announcing anyway, but yes when I do watch them at home, tend to put on some Iron Maiden or Metallica to drown out the idiots.

Haha good call

If we lose to a beat down crappy titans team in Week 18 I'd rather not watch them get the doors blown off in Cincinnati Buffalo or kc in a wild card game.

Well that’s also dumb.

I couldn’t care less how the Jags make the playoffs. Just make it!

You sure call people dumb a lot. Thought this was a safe environment to share differing opinions on our favorite football team.

It's looking more and more like beating the tacks in week 18 is our way in -

- and that just might set up a home game vs the bolts or ravens.

Both of whom we have already defeated in reg. season play.

What's the prop bet on Jags advancing to divisional round or conference game looking like?
LOL

Whilst I dislike the Tinhorns, I hate with the burning fury of a million sun's those stinkin T*tans.

I can't wait for Week 18 and stamping on their damn throats, ending their playoff hopes and taking back the South but Week 17 is the priority.

Like NYC says, play the starters, get a big lead then let the #2's play. We've got the big mo, no need to out-think ourselves.

Truth. Fisher did a good job of stoking the hate and discontent back in the day. It lingers like the stench of the dead who have been left out in a swamp in the middle of summer. Lol

To these nostrils, it smells worse. That was a miserable walk back to the parking lot after that 2000 Championship game, listening to those a hole Tack fans. They were not gracious.

I'd rather be at full strength for a game that I know 100% for sure gets me a home playoff game against a team that I've already beaten than risk the chance of further injury to win a game that might get me a wildly (pun intended) improbable shot at a Wild Card game on the road against one of the Division winners in potentially crappy winter weather. Assuming that the week 17 win weakens our roster with avoidable injuries.

Is there a way for the Jags to get a wild card by beating the Texans and then losing to the tacks?

If not, then we should probably play the Texans game knowing we have to beat the tacks anyway.

Yea I agree about Steve Young.  It looks like he aged 10 years in just 1 year.

We need to keep this momentum going. Put your foot down on the Texans throat and then put the finishing move on the Titans. Establish dominance in the AFC south!

Yes, there is a way.
There's also a way I could win the lottery this weekend and the odds aren't that different.

I'm afraid they have to play both games full bore to be certain though.
