They are sitting 7 or 8 starters to save ammunition for our week 18 throwdown

Which makes total sense for them. They've been in free fall (lost 5 straight) and are riddled with injuries. They have negative momentum going so another loss on Thursday doesn't really do anything.

We have positive momentum going (won 4 of our last 5) and another win would be big to keep the train rolling.

ugh

I swear - if this team really is on its way to dominating the division and upsetting NFC teams on the road regularly, one of the best things to come out of it is not getting stuck with the D-List broadcast.

Spero Dedes is the worst..

Yeah he makes me want to throw up in my mouth.
The teal pants are making a comeback. We did score a W with them so they aren't TOTALLY cursed..

I'd like to see the Teal jerseys with Black pants and Teal socks again. They looked good
This game against Houston feels like a preseason game, it's so weird for the second to last game to mean nothing, but the final game to be for a playoff spot. What a weird spot to be in.

I will say this tho, one of Trevors worst showings this year was vs Houston, so it'd be awesome to see him do a 180 and hittem with a 3-4 td game and just flat smoke them.

It could mean something to us if we lose to Tennessee and other games play out a specific way in relationship to us getting a wild card berth. Tennessee is obviously tanking this week to be able to run Henry on us all game next week.

So how is that gameplan any different than their other 16 games?

Well,  even against Houston, Henry ran for a TD early in the game.  After that,  a non factor just like in the game against us.  He gets worse as the game goes instead of the opposite.

Yeah, but if you end the season on a seven game skid, it's gonna be real hard to justify not being let go at the end of the year. Vrabel may have bigger fish to fry tonight. That is, unless the ownership has basically assured him that he is safe regardless of how the season wraps up.

I know a lot here hold him in high regard, but I could see them moving on, especially if they think they can land a guy like Payton (not a good fit imo, but have at it, tacks!)

Good point.
I doubt Vrabel is sitting that many w/o some sense of job security.

Personally, I think ownership there is sold on Vrabel being the guy long term and this year was more about roster mismanagement. They fired their GM 3 weeks ago.

Agree.  Injuries played a big role as well.  I'm hoping they aren't getting that healthy prior to playing week 18. Looking for the Cowboys to roll tonight in search of that NFC East title and #1 seed. Hopefully they disable a few more Titans along the way.
Titans in a lose lose situation for tonight. Personally I don’t think they should be resting anyone (unless there is injury reasons). Confidence in the locker room has to be low after the Ty of defeats, and losing by 30+ tonight isn’t going to help that. On the flip side, it’s probably the only chance they have of winning next week.

That was probably solely for not locking up AJ Brown.  If he were still there, I doubt we'd have had the chance to get back into the race.
Keep in mind the Titans still don't think of the Jags as much of anything. Until we pull the plug on their season, we are the annoying little brother.

The rivalry is definitely bigger in J'ville than in Nashville.

That one move was very costly. Had to be a big part of the decision.
Add in the lack of replacement for that loss of talent and some bad injury luck -  and here we are realistically talking about sweeping them.

Excited for that game.
Any STH having issues pre ordering their seats for playoffs?

Bro they’re going FAST
I guess today is just to reserve additional seating? We can purchase our regular seats tomorrow?

And still, what does that have to do with the game PLAN.  You said zero about production.  You said they were resting him so they could run him all game.
