If we can stay in the game, there’s a chance. If we fall back by two scores, it’s going to be difficult to come back. Mahomes keeps his foot on an opponent’s neck.
My gut feeling is Mahomes will kill us with his legs, converting third downs until our D is done.
Let’s play this thing to win with no fear. People say you can’t do it until you do it. No one was giving the bengals a chance last year. Very very hard game though. Hoping for a win but not arguing it’s the most statistically likely outcome.

Love your QB, think he is going to be a good one. At least he is not D. Carr.
Welcome! Not sure if you're a member fo the cheifsplanet board, but I was browsing it yesterday and you've got some really, really nasty people over there. And to echo ypur sentiments I also hope that it's a good game and no injuries to anyone.
The thing is, we are two games from the superbowl. Our chances of making it this year are probably higher than next year (at this point and time). Let’s finish the job now.

Yeah. Said it in the other thread. They're going to have to get creative defensively. You'll have to disguise some blitzes. Probably need to run some Robber looks and flip flop last second with Cisco and Jenkins. I think we can play closer to the box with the safeties as long as Campbell and Williams can hold it down on the outside.
My biggest concern is what you've pointed out. His mobility. When you play too deep and don't keep a player or two around the LOS they're routinely looking to either:
A. Get Kelce isolated working the seams or outside along the sidelines.
B. Getting one side of the field isolated in favor of getting Mahomes one-on-one with a deep shot opportunity or running room on the opposite side.
Expect a lot of gimmick plays in this one. Pitch stuff in the backfield to Kelce, motion sweeps to JuJu Smith-Schuster, etc. Everything has to stay in front of them. I would prefer to see Walker playing inside all game Vs. outside. I would rather see Key playing full time next to him as well. I feel like it gives us the best chance to contain Mahomes from running outside of the pocket and also being able to step up consistently into the pocket to sling it.
This is going to be a [BLEEP] game though man. I think it's close. No matter the outcome. It's going to be close.

That would.be great, and like they say, any given Sunday. But realistically we are a few pieces and some more developmental time from our last 2 first overall picks away from the elite teams in this league. Winning in KC, Buffalo or Cinci, and then beating whomever comes out of the NFC is just a very daunting task. Gotta love where the team is headed and that we're one of the final 8 teams in it though.
I'm going with Trevor has never lost on a Saturday. Any team is beatable on any given day and we can beat the Chiefs but it can't be a 30 minute game. We have to play 60 minutes and it has to be with the three-headed snake. Offense, defense and ST have to show up when the time clock shows 15:00 and can't let up until it shows 0:00.
ALL GAS NO BRAKES.
I believe

If we win this game though? Good God. You think the media hype is scary NOW? They'll be talking Superbowl bound right after the final second and whistle is heard. Doesn't matter if we play the Bengals or Bills. They'll look at us differently and expect us to win it all.
Could you [BLEEP] imagine what might happen next? A possible Jacksonville Vs. Philadelphia match-up? Doug Pederson duking it out against his old team and having a chance to shove their decision right back up their [BLEEP]? On the biggest stage?
Would be great.

Yeah, your perspective is definitely the realistic one. You just never know.

I agree with you, there are some really toxic people there. I am a member but I am one of the non-toxic level-headed people.

Are you sure? I mean, would you know if you were? There are a lot of crazy people out there

I feel good about it honestly. No pressure on us and all time confidence.
Double kelce and have our corners win outside with their receivers. Contain Mahomes in the pocket and I think we can hold them low 20’s.
Doug needs to go full hammer. Unless it’s 4th and 20 go for it. It really doesn’t matter where the chiefs get the ball and every conversion is essentially a turn over.
I think we do that we win 28-24

Pretty much this ... Just keep it a one score game at worst and see what happens. I'm usually a 'defer the kick-off' man but in this one is definitely even take the ball first just to try and get a lead or buy time. Even if all we do is run the ball six or seven times and kill five minutes or so off the clock at least it gives us a chance of settling in and (hopefully) Trevor isn't coming out 7-0 down after 2 minutes.
Haven't a clue how it will go scorewise, i think we've a better chance than the analysts will give us credit for so I'll just hope for the best... But I still think Agnew's got a big play in him sooner rather than later. 134 yards on 4 returns against the bolts and he's been very close over the last month, so I'll stay with my prediction of Agnew taking something in from 60+ yards.
My brain tells me 35-27 chefs
My heart tells me 31-28 Jags
My gut tells me we made it to the divisional round after starting 3-7 so just enjoy the [BLEEP] ride, man.

This 100000%
This is my favorite Jags season of all time. Loved 2017, 96 and 1999 but this season takes the cake for me personally.
Chiefs: 31
Jaguars: 21
Kelce and Mahomes are monsters.
Sometimes a team can come off a bye week flat and if the Chiefs do, we need to jump on them and take advantage of it. And I'm a bit concerned that we've had a couple weeks in a row of really emotional come from behind wins. Hopefully they can keep it going for a while longer.

The Bengals did the opposite last year in the playoffs. In the 2nd half, they dropped their OLB into coverage which totally puzzled Mahomes so I'm not sure why you are suggesting we defend against his strength as he thrives on reading the blitzes and hitting his hot routes.
Party comes to an end ..... Chiefs 41 -- Jags 24
