I had no idea we ever tried to get Shayne Graham. Of course that was so long ago it is irrelevant now.

The Jags originally signed Graham to am offer sheet in 04 but the Bengals matched.

I said I wish we could get him. Reason being he is the best kicker in the NFL. Sucks that the Ravens tagged him. If they didn't we could have done something.

You saying he's the best kicker doesn't make him the best kicker. Some would make the argument based off of sheer numbers that Gostkowski is the best in the league.

As long as they never again attempt to use him on returns. That game was probably a Jaguars win without Johnson basically handing the Falcons a FG.


 

BTW, I don't believe that Jack is the backup OTTO, and any reports or posts suggesting he is amounts to pure speculation based on virtually nothing. Jack rarely if ever rushed the passer in college, and he's not at any time been used as a pass rusher or at the OTTO spot with the Jaguars thus far. I see him in the mix with Poz and Telvin at WLB and MLB, and if we need an emergency OTTO replacement, I can see Ngakoue or Fowler taking over there until Holmes can be activated off the PS.
