I get it. Unfortunately he's about par for the course for most NFL backups and Allen isn't ready yet. You'll get your wish, it will just be next year.

 

 

Until then, I pray Bortles stays healthy. If he misses any games, those are sure losses with Henne under center.

Cody Parkey has been cut by the Eagles, hopefully Myers goes.

No matter who is on the OL Bortles can get hurt on any play.

I see they went an extra player on offense with Banyard, which basically suggests he was kept over a defensive player ...probably Tripp.

He should count, but because he was waived-injured the day after the first round of cuts, he tends to get left out as though he were cut in the first round.

The only thing I could figure is they felt him expendable because you can often find LBs out there of his caliber. I'm thinking if Wash was allowed to keep 50, he would have kept Tripp, but Caldwell told him he could only have 49.  ...or something like that. I'm totally guessing here.

Jack will be the primary backup at MLB and WLB. That cuts down on the need for an additional LB.

I guess that means Banyard is as good a ST player as Tripp and the staff wanted to keep the player who was more likely to be scooped up by another team.
