The Jaguars selected Oklahoma offensive tackle Anton Harrison after trading down twice.
He played left and right tackle at OK, and will probably start week 1 at RT now that we know Cam will be suspended multiple games.
Do we think he could play guard?
I wanted Branch Sad

Won't complain too much since the team was so good last year but I think we end up regretting picking Harrison... hope I am wrong though.
Balkie did mention he could play guard.
I don't think there is ever regret in protecting Lawrence. However, we had some really good value DB's there.
Here is to hoping Doug was right on this one and I trust Doug on the tackle prospects. Hopefully this was the right pick
I’m going to trust the process. I was expecting DB after the draft played out & it was our pick. But I agree no regrets if he is able to provide protection for Trevor.
I wanted porter or branch. Just filtered through a bunch of different mocks from analysts at pff and they all had him going between 14-19. He's better in pass protection than run blocking and is one of the youngest players in the draft. Hoping he turns out to be a good one.
The more bigguns da betta..
He wasn't on my radar but I'm going to trust the team on this one since we needed a RT.

We needed an OT... Period. LT or RT. We still don't know if Little is the long term answer at either spot but we know for sure Robinson is not and he's gone after this season due to cap reasons.

Our OT room cupboard was quite empty

I like the pick

Is ANTman a appropriate nickname
I like the pick, but it does suck that it feels forced because of Cam's mistakes. That said, hopefully in the long term it allows us to maybe trade Cam and get rid of that contract he never deserved.
He's another potential pick. As one said, he's a good pass protector at LT and one of the younger players in the draft. Hopefully this was the right pick because we passed on some great ones

I will say if we didn't get Jones he would be my next tackle. We have someone to block Anderson on the right side now. I'm ready for that matchup

That doesn't happen but it does keep him from getting another. It sets the Jags up for knowing their Ts for the next few years and at cheaper money as long as he isn't a bust.

They can focus on other areas and get needed cap room.

I like it. Had no idea who he was, but has nice hand placement, quick feet, and is a mauler based on what I can find in youtube.
He went the highest he felt he would get drafted. Well, from our original draft spot

I’ve heard a few guys say Anton is Trent Williams 2.0 and he has great feet for a 312 pounder. He’s 21 years old and some consider him the most complete tackle in the draft. Battle tested and played against top talent every week.

We lost Taylor and Cam is being suspended and Little has question marks. The Jaguars also got more draft picks by backing up a few spots. He will start day 1.

He offers versatility as well. Solid pick.
We got the best OT available and we picked up 3 more picks. I love it.
