Not a damn person is going to tell me who to vote for, what shampoo to buy, or convince me the latest Beyonce album is her best work yet. I have my own mind and I make my own decisions. I vote based on policy, not on likeability. I buy shampoo that works for me and I couldn't care less about Beyonce.

What he did was lie about the election being stolen.  That was the most irresponsible thing any President has ever done.

Many more Democrats than Republicans voted by mail, because Trump discouraged Republicans from doing it.  In some swing states, Pennsylvania for instance, those mail in ballots could not be counted until the polls closed.  So obviously, Biden was going to pick up a lot of votes the next day.  Everyone knew this.  Then when Biden pulled ahead in places like Pennsylvania, Trump stood in front of the cameras and said, "I was ahead.  Now I'm behind.  The election is being stolen."  But anyone with half a brain knew why Biden picked up all those votes after the polls closed.  Trump just made up that crap about the election being stolen. Then he invited his supporters to come to Washington for the "Stop The Steal" rally on January 6, and at that rally, he tells them to march on the Capitol.  He told them, falsely, that Mike Pence could stop the certification.  He's responsible for what happened.

You know that's pee and not rain water you're standing in, right?
I was thinking about it. Mikey and Marty are more upset to see people display their power over the government than they are that they are slowly losing their voice. Trump didn't make people do anything. They are fed up with the liars in DC. Trump lies about his ego. Everyone else in DC lies to you about your agency.

I'm not losing my voice, slowly or otherwise.

If any of Trump's allegations about the election being stolen were credible, and if Trump had shown signs of respecting the constitution while he was in office, I would have been protesting too.
I think a lot of unhappy people who think they haven't reached their potential in life take the easy explanation, and that is, that powerful dark forces are conspiring against them. That makes them feel better. And then some of them gravitate to the man on the white horse who can save us all. They ignore his glaring weaknesses- ignorance, dishonesty, and complete lack of qualifications- because he is the hero who is going to fight these sinister dark forces: the elites, the deep state, the rich. They demonize the rich because they are not rich. They invent a "deep state." They feel better because the man on the white horse expresses their grievances about life and promises if they will return him to power he will fix everything. In spite of not having done so the first time he was in power. And there's no one else. He's the only one.

Biden stopped border wall construction and put out a Welcome mat, and you find that less irresponsible than Trump making up crap about a stolen election?  You're obsessed with your hatred and have lost all sense of objectivity.

That's why he's not taken seriously anymore..Hatred has clouded common sense.

This is boogeyman politics.

I am college educated with a major in poli-sci. I do well for myself. I'm married to a doctor. We're doing fine. I know plenty of VERY rich Trump supporters. For you to try to diminish the concerns people have for this country to them being poor and stupid is ridiculous. It's the root cause of your bias. You judge because you think you are better than others. Get over yourself.

You're confusing what I'm saying.
There are many ways to be a Trump supporter.
It's the particular kind of Trump supporter that wants to burn it all down and questions everything any news source tells them, that I would say must be disappointed in their lives so far.  You're in that category.  Winger and FSG are too, but for them I think it's more macho posturing.  You I've met and I know you're not trying to be macho, you're just trying to be right.
People who support Trump for whatever other reasons, I wouldn't say the same thing about them.

Like I said, boogeyman politics. You are, and always have been, arguing with a caricature of our position.

Why is anyone who criticizes Biden a "Trump supporter" in your mind?

Trump is Mike's mortal enemy..

Actually, Mike used to be a Trump supporter until he got grabbed in the [BLEEP]..

You've accused those critical of Biden to be Trump supporters numerous times.  You label as supporters any and all who say Trump is not guilty of leading an insurrection.

So, what is a Trump "supporter"?

Nah.
I criticize Biden.
I don't support Trump.
Anyone who says Trump is not guilty of leading an insurrection either has no idea how insurrections and revolutions start, or is just willfully blind to what happened on Jan 6 and how Trump clearly wished that day ended with Congress unable to meet and the Constitution effectively suspended.

But even then such a person might support some other potential candidate more than they support Trump. I try to avoid labels.
