Seems like it’s the same old jags.

Trying to stay positive, given if we hadn’t crapped the turf bed we had a game against a top 10 team in the bag.

The browns on paper should be a get right game. Watson continues to spiral; no Chubb; and our defense held a high powered offense to 20 points.

Screw it. Jags 24, browns 14

Yes this is a get-right game. The Browns offense looks horrible. And they overall seem like an uninspired squad. If we can’t beat the Browns at home then I think we can all agree that week 3 would be an absolute must-win game.

If we can just stop Myles we’ll be ok
We lost but it looks like we are very competitive on both sides of the ball. Easy win if we keep it that way
I'm sure they clean up some mistakes this week. That was a pretty tight game which they should have won without one or two key mistakes.
Watson is a shell of himself. I expect Nielsen to get after him. I expect turnovers in this one from the defense.

They have to win this game at home. Starting off 0 - 2 at home last year really pissed me off and it set the tone early for what to expect.

Get it right this year. Please, for the love of [BLEEP] God, don't lose this home opener.

Our style of defense can be exposed by a QB that can use his legs to move the chains.

Watson has a 6-1 record against the Jaguars, including the last 5 straight.

We’re moving on from Tyreek Hill, and now Amari Cooper is coming to town and he can hurt you too.

Why do games from 2017-2020 matter for this iteration of the Jags and this game?

Completely different players, coaches, and scheme. Plus Watson is a different guy and player now than he was pre-COVID and pre-court cases.
Dallas has a much better oline that we do. I could us having a very hard time against this defense. Cooper and Juedy will be hard to stop as well.
As Dan and Hick just said, not sure who called the plays yesterday but I want the other guy calling the plays next week against the Browns and see how it goes lol

It's a fair ask. 2/10 on third down's yesterday. 3 potential drive sustainers on said drives that were dropped by two of your most highest paid players on offense. Lawrence inking a major extension earlier this off season only to leave Miami with a whopping 21 pass attempts.

Somebody [BLEEP] something up there and didn't adjust accordingly. Done defending this [BLEEP]. If the game looks like [BLEEP] call wise? Call it out. It's beyond fair at this point going into year three with the same [BLEEP] staff.

I thought Trev played ok but he didn't even crack 165 yrds passing.  I think that's more to do with the play calling than anything else. Engram is a top 5-7 TE and he had what, 2 targets?  Our 2 best players on offense let us down in Kirk and Etieene.

I'll be at the Browns game and hopefully the offense can get on track.  Overall the defense holding the Miami offense to 20 points though did their job.  Doug Pederson has been failing as a coach from the 2nd half of last season till now.  If Doug is calling the plays he needs to hand it over to Press or vise versa.

We need a change because what we are doing right now isn't working.  We have a lot of weapons on offense and our offense just doesn't look that great. Josh Allen lost Diggs and Davis and look what he done yesterday.  We are loaded on offense with weapons and we have Trevor Freaking Lawrence as our QB

Either the offensive play calling or scheme one isn't getting the best out of our QB. We have to look in the mirror and find an answer and change something

He would have had over 200 yards yesterday if Kirk catches those two big drops on third down and Engram catches his little hitch route in one-on-one coverage for his first down.

That's what goes unsaid a lot after people look at the bottom line of each box score. He had 12 completions for 160 some odd yards with only 21 attempts and 3 major drops that would have made his numbers look better.

It's the same issues we have seen over the last two years with this offense. If it's not Trevor playing hero ball or forcing things that aren't there? It's literally everything else around him going to [BLEEP]. Dropped passes, fumbles inside the redzone, blown blocking assignments, etc.

I can only put so much on Lawrence, but, again, to Dan's point, "What are we doing?". You just paid Trevor some fat loot and you're having him pass it 21 times in the season opener after he was connecting DOTS to BTJ, Davis and Kirk earlier on in the game? Why the [BLEEP] did we clam up after ETN's fumble? Why did we stop being aggressive? Why didn't we figure this out?

That's on the coaching staff.

Also, the big penalty yardage (40 yards) from the BTJ play early on.  Doesn't count for either one of them on the stat sheet, but if you're drawing conclusions from just stats you should probably include it.

Every team has these issues.  You have to keep going and keep executing after a drop or fumble. We actually had a good balance yesterday pass/run ratio overall.  Other teams had drops as well.
Doug's offense is at its best when the TEs are heavily involved. We need to start getting Engram much more involved into the offense. Where is our 2nd round pick from last year?

Strange was out there a handful of times doing his best to "block". At one point he was getting bullied back on his assignment. However, it was effective enough to keep Lawrence in the pocket.

While I understand that drops happen for a lot of team's, giving your $55M per year QB a whopping 21 pass attempts is not enough to see if he can make an impact or not. 7 run plays Vs. 1 pass play with 2 sacks on the last 3 drives reeks of failure to adjust and failure to do what was right, and that was, give your [BLEEP] QB the football and let him cook.

The running game stalled out in the 4th quarter. They kept doing the same [BLEEP] and they were picking up 1 - 2 yards instead of 4 - 6 yards as they did previously. Just irks me.

It's the wait that kills me as a fan. I know it's tougher on the players. I couldn't play in the NFL. I would feel like a mad bull behind the bars after every loss. I just want that [BLEEP] gate to swing open so I can go off on somebody. It's maddening man. Absolutely maddening. I would be Bobby Knight in that locker room throwing chairs across the floor.

We had them! We let them off the hook! Now if you want to crown them?!?!?!? Then crown their [BLEEP]!!!! Now let's go get a [BLEEP] snack!

This is a good point, and, last year it was something that was silently effective for this offense. They relied heavily on Ridley to draw those PI's and it worked to our favor more than any other team in the NFL last year I believe.

Just needed to see more of that. Again, 12/21 pass completions/pass attempts. 3 massive third down conversions dropped along with 3 sacks given up. Do the math, the kid was basically perfect if those [BLEEP] did their job's yesterday.

I agree that the last few drives were bad play calling.  The reason that number is so low is because we were 2 for 10 on 3rd downs.  I seen Strange out there but those few plays wasn't enough from the 2nd round pick.  It's year 2 for him now, I want to see more out of the 2nd round pick

I think we win this one. If we can match up with the Fins, surely we can stop the Browns.
Last year we had a 99% chance to make the playoffs after the 8-3 start. Yesterday we had a 92% chance to win the game in the 3rd quarter after we got inside the 20 before the fumble. This team finds ways to collapse and the losses is contagious. These good teams that find ways to win even when things aren't going their way, winning is contagious as well.

Every player will get an opportunity, you just have to do something with that opportunity when given the chance.
