I love you Doug but I think it may be time. This team has regressed so much and just isn't getting better. It's not all on him but this is so far below acceptable.

You don't understand the team's real problem.

"We have to get bigger and stronger."
Well, here is the bright side of all this: You now don’t need to stress at all the rest of the season. Also, Baalke is finally getting fired.
Sure Doug, you haven’t lost the locker room. It totally shows every week when your team is getting boat raced up and down the field on both sides of the ball. I’m glad your butt buddy Press means that much to you. It should feel great knowing this will be your last stint as a head coach in the NFL.

Laughing
And start with a sack can only laugh at this point

I'm just saying there's not many people I see on the staff I could see correct things.
I don't think that matters. A mid-season change is NOT going to turn this thing around. This ship is sinking, and there is no showing up the holes this season. McCoy wasn't a great head coach, but he was a competent OC and knows how to keep a team chugging along through the end of the season. He's just a temporary figure head to stand on the sidelines and call some random times outs. Thats it.

Like I said, a mid-season change isn't turning this thing around. That's also why I don't support making a change. It won't do any good. And it could do worse. Khan can go ahead and get to work in finding a new GM and coach, even with these guys still on the payroll. Start compiling short lists of potential candidates. Once the week 18 game is over, get the ball rolling.

I get you and that's why I am usually against mid season firings. No way can anyone come in and make significant changes to schemes or the roster but I'm worried by the lack of fight and effort from these players. We've seen it before with Jags team where that losing mentality settles in and as soon as we fall behind games are over. Sadly I don't see anyone on the staff who can fire this team up but we're saying performances like this from us way too much.

This roster is not bad, we have so much talent on the O but it just isn't working right now.

You aren't watching if you think Lawrence was today's issue.

When questioned on accountability he will get mad and shift the blame. Again
Khan will keep Baalke around. Why pay for another GM when you have one on the payroll?

Its not about making the Jags more competent at this point. Its showing the fans that the organization still cares by holding completely inept coaches and players accountable.

How does firing a coach mid-season show that, exactly? To me, a mid-season firing is just saying "f$@* it". It won't make a difference. A mid-season trade could be helpful, but may very well not be. This team isn't 1 player away from becoming competent. They've got talented players. They're not being used adequately.
Harrison didn’t even try

It’s unbelievable that some here want to send packing one of the few remaining building blocks this team might have to avoid another decade of futility

No professional organization makes those kinds of changes to show fans anything.

Jets did

If they aren't being used adequately, then find another person who can, maybe someone already on the staff like Colt.

Jags do NOT have a talented offense.  Nor do they have talent on defense. The roster needs a complete overhaul.
