I’m 5’2, so I get it. I have a CCP, but we shouldn’t have to be armed to use the bathroom out in public.
Exactly!! You guys shouldn't have to be armed but have to be..

Men dressing up as women has been around since the beginning of time but this crazy [BLEEP] about using the women's bathroom has gotten out of hand. The only benefit I can see to such TGs or cross dressers is that the women's stalls tend to be cleaner and they can do make-up with the company of other women. That said, I like how some bathrooms are constructed internationally, as they have segregated toilets but a common sink area where women and men wash their hands (and do make-up if that's your thing).
Personally, I'm too old to really give a [BLEEP] and my daughter is 24 years old but if I had a daughter under 17, I'm sure that it would matter a lot more to me ..... especially as it applies to very young elementary school kids as you don't know what the hell is in the next bathroom stall.
The ones doing it “back in the day” were trying their best to blend in and not cause any kind of problems. Now you’ve got bearded linebacker looking dudes claiming to be woman demanding to be in there with us, peckers out and proud…it’s just different now.

Dammit, they're on to me.
Back to smooth talking, I guess (sigh).

You're fixated on bathrooms, Marty. If laws are passed which allow males into female facilities, that means locker rooms and showers as well. You need to zoom out a little.
You guys have no dog in this hunt. Listen to Bchbunnie4.

None of you can tell me why this wouldn't solve the problem. You'd rather have a culture war over something that is so easily resolved.
Common sense would solve the problem with no expense. If you have an "innie" use the women's restroom, if you have an "outie" use the men's restroom. It doesn't matter how you dress or "identify".

Sounds to me like the problem is cisgender men and not transgender people. Aim your laws at the actual danger.

I stand corrected. I have a couple daughters too. I should have communicated better. My point was the only person that I know of that was directly impacted and discussing was Bchbunnie4. We should value that opinion more.

I concur with every damn thing you say here. Especially the panel van thing. *shudder*
I'm 5'10" so men probably look at me as less of an opportunity. Add to it that I have my head on a swivel at all times, walk with a purpose and have my RBF (resting [BLEEP] face) set to Max when I'm in areas I feel vulnerable... there's been few people who have ever approached me. I don't give anyone any reason to want to have anything to do with me because I don't want to make it easy for the wrong one to do something stupid.
We can open carry here in NC but we're not there yet where I live. Plus, a .45 on the hip is a bit much. Lol. I need to get a CCP and a 9mm, or just carry my husband's 9mm we keep in the living room but I have procrastinated.
Bottom line, men do not understand what it is to feel preyed upon just for being a woman. Even when I was at my fittest, and I'm talking pretty damn fit, there was no chance of me overpowering some dude who woke up ready to do violence on someone.

No, the problem is men who want to do bad things to women. Wearing a dress doesn’t make you a woman any more than getting a tan makes you a Mexican. You are what you are. Follow the science.

The problem is men with mental problems...
Sure, if you want to call being a rapist a "mental problem," but that feels reductive.
Did you know that a transgender person is wildly more likely to be the victim than the aggressor? That a cisgender man is wildly more likely to be the attacker of a transgender person or of a woman?
