That's essentially what the 2nd amendment is about. To protect "the security of a free state". And that protection may not necessarily be needed from against a foreign power.

LOL, nobody is coming for anyones guns... Show me proof that they are. What gun restrictions have occured in 8 years of Obama's administration?
You people need to calm down. And by the way, the 2nd Amendment option is not a political option. It's all out war. Anyone that uses the term knows what they are saying. Using the 2nd Amendment, or getting the 2nd Amendment people to stop something is to say that an assassination or a civil war needs to happen.

You want proof that they're coming for our guns, yet, some of us want proof that they're not.. They already blame the guns for murders yet the 2nd Amendment never killed anyone. People will always find a way..

Find a way for what? The 2nd Amendment protects gun owners. The supreme court has set precedent that guns cannot be excluded from cities... It's a done deal.

It's prove positive that your right. The media, and the elites that have embedded themselves within the Democratic and Republican parties try to make this a blue v. red fight in which actually policies are never debated.
It's sad. I'll give this for the trumpettes - at least the ones on this board - they are willing to actually discuss topics. It seems the GOP type conservatives are more into fighting the same tired red v. blue arguement that really get's us nowhere. To be fair I get sucked into it at times too. It's hard not to. But I think libertarians, progressives, and trumpettes have alot of common ground that we could agree on if we stopped bickering all the time.
