IMO Obama said that because he knows the polls are also rigged.  When Reuters changed their polling methodology during the Dem convention to give Hillary an 8-point "bump", they also went back and revised all previous polls to add the same 8 points to Hillary's side.

 

Now we see the Dems are freaking out because Hillary is getting crushed in nearly every demographic.  This is from an insider at Nate Silver's fivethirtyeight.com:

 



 

Following the conventions, a pattern has emerged from the polling: Donald Trump has taken a commanding lead in all demographics. From the well to poorly educated and even out-performing Romney among women and Hispanics. According polling aggregates the only demographic Hillary is winning is African American single women and White College Males with advanced degrees in Social Sciences.

 

We spoke to a source who works at Nate Silver's political advocacy group fivethirtyeight.com.

 

RealTrueNews: "Is it fair to say that Silver is worried?"

538: "Well, Nate's a liberal. No secret there. When he saw what was happening he flipped out. Had us look for bugs--something gone wrong--looking at the feeds. Of course nothing was wrong. Nothing had changed. Then he got on the phone with his people embedded with Q-Pac and Survey Monkey and PPP and all those guys--"

 

RTN: "Wait--embedded?"

 

538: "Huh? Oh, yeah--it's a big social club. The pollsters all work together. We have a Slack-room that's sharing all kinds of results and skews and all that. That's how we keep it all orderly."

 

RTN: "Orderly?"

 

538: "Sure--what? You think it's . . . random? Come on. Who do you think pays for the polls? People who want results. You're buying media. It's like ads or . . . I don't know. Like newspaper stories? You pay 30k for a poll of Florida, it says what you want."

 

RTN: "But what about on election day?"

 

538: "Oh--we drive it. You set the expectations ahead of time. It's called pre-loading. You'd be surprised how we can fine-tune things. Mass belief is powerful. The problem here is (a) not everyone plays nice. Fox is rogue. Rasumssen was . . . bad. They were doing real polling. Also, there's like a game of chicken. At the start of the cycle we do real polling so that everyone knows how they better buy in. This time . . . Trump just caught us by surprise. The impact was so big--it came on so fast--Hillary just collapsed."

 

RTN: "What--what happens next?"

 

538: "I don't know, man. There are a bunch of smaller groups out there doing real polls. I don't know if anyone can keep this under wraps. They had to talk Silver off the edge of the building yesterday. It was bad."

 

RTN: "He was literally going to throw himself out a window?"

 

538: "Yeah--he was--well, but we're on the second floor. He was just really [BAD WORD REMOVED]. I mean, he got a call from the White House telling him to fix it and [BAD WORD REMOVED]."

 

RTN: "Wow."

The federal government is not involved in the voting or the vote counting.   It is all done at the state and local level.  The 2 parties have observers at the polling stations.   There's no way the election can be "rigged," unless you had a nationwide conspiracy involving thousands of people, half of whom are REPUBLICANS.  

 

 

Trump's assertion that the election is going to be "rigged" is one of the most irresponsible and reckless things a presidential candidate has ever said, and it's just further proof that he is absolutely the wrong person to be President of the United States.   No losing Presidential candidate has ever tried to de-legitimize the election of his opponent.

Good evening. Just moments ago, I spoke with George W. Bush and congratulated him on becoming the 43rd president of the United States -- and I promised him that I wouldn't call him back this time.

 

I offered to meet with him as soon as possible so that we can start to heal the divisions of the campaign and the contest through which we just passed.

Almost a century and a half ago, Senator Stephen Douglas (ph) told Abraham Lincoln, who had just defeated him for the presidency, ``Partisan feeling must yield to patriotism. I'm with you, Mr. President, and God bless you.''

 

Well, in that same spirit, I say to President-elect Bush that what remains of partisan rancor must now be put aside, and may God bless his stewardship of this country.

 

Neither he nor I anticipated this long and difficult road. Certainly neither of us wanted it to happen. Yet it came, and now it has ended, resolved, as it must be resolved, through the honored institutions of our democracy.

 

Over the library of one of our great law schools is inscribed the motto, "Not under man but under God and law." That's the ruling principle of American freedom, the source of our democratic liberties. I've tried to make it my guide throughout this contest as it has guided America's deliberations of all the complex issues of the past five weeks.

 

Now the U.S. Supreme Court has spoken. Let there be no doubt, while I strongly disagree with the court's decision, I accept it. I accept the finality of this outcome which will be ratified next Monday in the Electoral College. And tonight, for the sake of our unity of the people and the strength of our democracy, I offer my concession.

 

I also accept my responsibility, which I will discharge unconditionally, to honor the new president elect and do everything possible to help him bring Americans together in fulfillment of the great vision that our Declaration of Independence defines and that our Constitution affirms and defends.

Let me say how grateful I am to all those who supported me and supported the cause for which we have fought. Tipper and I feel a deep gratitude to Joe and Hadassah Lieberman who brought passion and high purpose to our partnership and opened new doors, not just for our campaign but for our country.

 

This has been an extraordinary election. But in one of God's unforeseen paths, this belatedly broken impasse can point us all to a new common ground, for its very closeness can serve to remind us that we are one people with a shared history and a shared destiny.

Indeed, that history gives us many examples of contests as hotly debated, as fiercely fought, with their own challenges to the popular will.

Other disputes have dragged on for weeks before reaching resolution. And each time, both the victor and the vanquished have accepted the result peacefully and in the spirit of reconciliation.

 

So let it be with us. I know that many of my supporters are disappointed. I am too. But our disappointment must be overcome by our love of country.

 

And I say to our fellow members of the world community, let no one see this contest as a sign of American weakness. The strength of American democracy is shown most clearly through the difficulties it can overcome.

 

Some have expressed concern that the unusual nature of this election might hamper the next president in the conduct of his office. I do not believe it need be so.

 

President-elect Bush inherits a nation whose citizens will be ready to assist him in the conduct of his large responsibilities.

I personally will be at his disposal, and I call on all Americans--I particularly urge all who stood with us to unite behind our next president. This is America. Just as we fight hard when the stakes are high, we close ranks and come together when the contest is done.

And while there will be time enough to debate our continuing differences, now is the time to recognize that that which unites us is greater than that which divides us.

 

While we yet hold and do not yield our opposing beliefs, there is a higher duty than the one we owe to political party. This is America and we put country before party. We will stand together behind our new president.

 

As for what I'll do next, I don't know the answer to that one yet. Like many of you, I'm looking forward to spending the holidays with family and old friends. I know I'll spend time in Tennessee and mend some fences, literally and figuratively.

 

Some have asked whether I have any regrets and I do have one regret: that I didn't get the chance to stay and fight for the American people over the next four years, especially for those who need burdens lifted and barriers removed, especially for those who feel their voices have not been heard. I heard you and I will not forget.

 

I've seen America in this campaign and I like what I see. It's worth fighting for and that's a fight I'll never stop.

As for the battle that ends tonight, I do believe as my father once said, that no matter how hard the loss, defeat might serve as well as victory to shape the soul and let the glory out.

 

So for me this campaign ends as it began: with the love of Tipper and our family; with faith in God and in the country I have been so proud to serve, from Vietnam to the vice presidency; and with gratitude to our truly tireless campaign staff and volunteers, including all those who worked so hard in Florida for the last 36 days.

 

Now the political struggle is over and we turn again to the unending struggle for the common good of all Americans and for those multitudes around the world who look to us for leadership in the cause of freedom.

 

In the words of our great hymn, ``America, America'': ``Let us crown thy good with brotherhood, from sea to shining sea.''

And now, my friends, in a phrase I once addressed to others, it's time for me to go.

I guess you've never heard of SOE and SCYTL.  SOE was a Tampa company who made electronic voting and reporting software for voting machines.  They were acquired in 2012 by Barcelona-based SCYTL, who reports election results in America and all around the world. 

 

With Scytl’s “e-voting,” votes are cast online and then downloaded to Scytl’s main server. Once those votes enter Scytl’s database, they are untraceable. With SOE Software, there are two independent sources of information (the voting machine, and SOE’s reporting system) that allow for the public to compare results and “audit” both sources of information “by matching one number against the other.” But with Scytl in control of both the method of voting and the reporting system, the public does not have the ability to audit vote counts, nor to see where votes came from. Bev Harris of blackboxvoting.org states: “With Scytl voting, there will be no ballots. No physical evidence. No chain of custody. No way for the public to authenticate who actually cast the votes, chain of custody, or the count.”  We will have little control over our electoral process if it’s in the hands of a company thousands of miles from our own soil. So much for transparency.

With that said, Florida was a total cluster job and the supreme court played king maker in a total farce of an election back in 2000.


But to think that Obama could manipulate multiple states in order to rig the election is stupid, par for the course in terms of trump.


Marty is right, delegitimizing the election is yet another example of this idiot's reckless behavior. Not to mention the fact that it shows in what order he prioritizes himself and his country.


The man does not deserve to hold the highest office of the land when it's clear he does not respect it or the process of obtaining it.

Florida followed the law. Gore sued because they wouldn't violate the law. The Supreme Court said "Follow the law" and liberals have never been the same since, as evidenced by your completely faulty recollection of the historical facts of the case.
