You should be seeing a better player than in college. He's a Pro now and needs to adjust his skills accordingly which it looks like he has so far.

I had no idea what bent meant before this thread. Thanks guys.
And even though I wasn't a fan of the Fowler pick initially, I'm excited to see what he does this preseason. I hope he whoops a few tackles.

You guys are ridiculous.
I'm with you
it's practice, we haven't seen nothing but potential
That being said, we could have had amari cooper and I said I wanted him back then and I'll say it again.. we missed out on a hall of fame WR I don't give a crap what our biggest need was.
cooper and robinson.. let that sink in

Yes, Cooper and Robinson and exactly ZERO pass rush, just like last year. I think I'll take Hurns and an absolute FREAK at LEO, thanks.

I'm tryin to stifle my excitement. Seems like every season we get excited and full of hope, only to have them dashed away by the first small handful of games..
This has a different kinda feel to it, so I ain't jinxin it..

Is there anywhere to see his highlights from the scrimmage. Can't really watch whole thing.

You guys are going to hype fowler into the next universe and be disappointed when he has average rookie sack numbers

Yeah, in the last five years, this team has managed to beat any bit of enthusiasm I might have had right out of me. So, until they manage to win more games than they lose, I look at them the same way the groundskeepers looked at the Indians in Major League. "They're still [BLEEP]".

It has just been training camp and a scrimmage but like I mentioned during the scrimmage post I haven't seen a Jaguars edge rusher bring the kind of torque and bend and not lose any speed. I got the sense that he's never out of a play until the ball is gone. I was on the Leonard Williams train when we drafted Dante. I'm hoping to be wrong at this point.

That's true. For a rookie DE, 8 sacks is a great starting point. But everyone will probably be disappointed.
On the other hand, he's not really a rookie, is he? Granted, he hasn't played a snap yet. But he's had a year to rehab, to mature physically, to learn the defense, to watch tape of other players. He's coming in way ahead of where he was when he got drafted.

But even so, average rookie performance is probably an improvement for this defence...

This is true, while he hasn't played in the NFL, the mental aspect he gained from his time with the team is invaluable. He's like a rookie and a half.
