Quote:To see what's really happening and being said so I don't need to read some journalist's interpretation the following day. Haven't you heard? "They're all bad."

And I'm hardly the first guy to stop and look at a train wreck.
So journalist interpretation equal bad, some random comment during live feed of rally equal trump and followers are racist. Got it. Shrillary wishes she could get some bodies to her train wrecks, at least without having to pay them.

Those are Trump's words, not mine. I read about the racist outbursts and attacks and felt they must be staged or isolated. Sadly, I don't feel that's the case any longer. Large groups of people yelling hate speech brought on some pretty ugly chapters in world history. I've learned some lessons there. There are advantages to seeing the world without a filter. I won't apologize or be made to feel bad about it. You should try it sometime. Maybe start with Periscope.
When you are a social justice warrior, you need a war, even if you have to manufacture one.
What started off as your daughter reading ONE comment in the comment section has now turned into "large groups of people yelling hate speech brought on by some pretty ugly chapters in world history". Trump and anyone that supports him are the new Hitler and yet you felt comfortable enough to watch the Klan rally posing as a campaign event with your little girl so near you that she could read what was written on the screen...with no mention of her actually hearing all the hate filled speech that you witness at every Trump event.

Ummm...okay.
It's now a proven fact that the DNC is sending interns and paying people to show up as instigators at these rallies.

(sigh) I was watching it alone for the bulk of the speech on full screen. She came in and I hit the ESC key to shut it down. She then saw the comments section. (Has my story changed in any of this?) No. My kid didn't hear these things. But she can use Google or YouTube and find plenty of examples even if she isn't searching for them. That's not alarming?

NEVER, EVER, EVER have I seen a presidential campaign where overt racism is an expected regular occurrence. As mentioned in recent posts, I don't want to believe every person in these audiences is a bigot. But why is it every one has these undertones? Could it possibly be because it is what the man himself has been inciting? No? Do you yell racial slurs in public places filled with strangers? Probably not. But it's been seemingly accepted at every stop. That's not concerning? We shouldn't call attention to it? We should ignore it's happening with everything going on in the world? It's not eerily similar to the rise of Hitler? I'm the only one who notices?

This is not the America I want. Not the face of America I want the world to see. Trump has been asked to tone down the rhetoric and condemn these types of comments. He won't. So supporters should be complicit? Go with the racist flow?

Are we not better than this as a society? Or are we anchored to the lowest common denominators among us.

Great post.  Totally money.  The man defines "Ugly American" in caricature form.  He reinforces the stereotype on a global scale.

Frankly, I am ashamed of him, even though no one would confuse me as someone who chooses to identify with him.
Quote:Sorry my 10 year old isn't tough enough for you [BAD WORD REMOVED].She is half Jewish and was scared random people wanted to burn her and her mother. She wasn't supposed to see the comments section, but hey.. there's nothing wrong with saying "Burn the Jews" at an American presidential rally, right? Totally acceptable. She should toughen up. Moron.

So, it's completely unthinkable that a comment posted ONLINE during a streaming of a live event that would be considered offensive is a reflection of the crowds who attend the event, and the candidate they're there to see, and not some anonymous internet troll looking to get a reaction?  Perhaps by a Clinton staffer who is just trying to perpetuate a myth that you've eagerly lapped up like a good little lemming?

Candidates can't be held accountable for what some troll does on a website, or even at their rallies.  Especially when it's been made perfectly clear that there are Soros funded leftist groups who have made it abundantly clear that they will be disrupting every Trump rally between now and election day.  You want to believe that this is a reflection of the candidate because you've made up your mind and reinserted your head in the orifice that best insulates you from any alternate possibility.

I'm sorry your daughter had to see the comments.  Knowing how those internet comments work, and how you're bound to get offensive or inappropriate content in them during something like this, I probably would have chosen NOT to let my 10 year old daughter watch the stream, but that's just me.

Quote:So what you're saying is everything I posted was accurate and we should rehash stories about an ex-president who is not up for election. From a policy perspective, Hillary comes out way ahead. Trump has a long history of insulting, demeaning and objectifying women. Which is why he is getting killed in that demographic.

Hillary Clinton portrays herself as a champion for women.  What her husband did to degrade women and objectify them, and then her subsequent actions to destroy the women who were telling the truth about their encounters goes right to the heart of her issues with women.  You have to ignore the fact that she trashed sexual assault victims in order to protect her husband.  Rather than being an actual champion for women, she became an enabler for a sexual predator, all for political expediency.  You don't care about that with a 10 year old daughter, but you will feign offense at something an Internet troll says and pin that to the candidate.  You're a hypocrite.

Quote:Okay.. Except it is not random. It is rampant. This happens at every stop on his campaign trail. Can you name ANY other instance in politics where this has happened or was deemed remotely acceptable? Neo-Nazis openly support him and when asked to condemn them he wouldn't. I have NEVER seen anything like this in my lifetime.

Again, you say this happens at every stop on his campaign trail.  That trail came through Jacksonville and Daytona a couple of days ago, and I don't recall hearing anything of the sort.

You act like there aren't offensive groups helping to fund Clinton's extravagant lifestyle.  Go look at the list of nation states that have donated MILLIONS to her family slush fund with the intent of gaining access to the Oval Office, or to her during her tenure as Secretary of State.  The champion for women has taken MILLIONS from nations who treat women like property, and she's been very careful NOT to condemn their actions.  Why is that?  Why doesn't that bother you?  That's a rhetorical question.  You're a mind-numbed Hill-o-bot.  I know the answer.

Quote:The fact that it is so rampant means it actually IS a reflection of the candidate.

No, it's not actually, especially when the odds of it being someone supporting Clinton trying to create the perception that you so eagerly lap up like a good little lemming are pretty high.
Hillary has a team of paid internet shills to "Correct The Record".

Correct The Record is a strategic research and rapid response team designed to defend Hillary Clinton from baseless attacks.

I think they need to look up the definition of "baseless".

Quote:I think they need to look up the definition of "baseless".

Well, you would still have to admit there is a wealth of baseless accusations flying around - aimed at all candidates. Amirite??
The stuff against Hillary is anything but baseless.  3 of 4 NY Times bestsellers are chronicles of Clinton corruption.  And Trump doesn't have paid shills on every social media forum.  Trump doesn't have the owners of Google, Facebook, Twitter, Reddit, etc blatantly censoring one candidate and promoting the other.  Like I said, Trump has all the establishment powers against him - both political parties, the media, the White House, and now DHS wants control of the electronic voting.  I wonder which candidate they favor?

Trump doesn't have paid shills?

LoL

These paid shills above are on CNN anytime there is a discussion of trump.  So don't go crying to me about how trump is being crucified.  Get real and start actually thinking for yourself.
Quote:If I hear a random stranger throw out the n word, I shut it down.

That must be quite a trick.  Do you threaten them with violence?

Pretty much the world Trump wants. Of course we usually stop children from name calling, but some just never grow up.
