LOL, I noticed that CNN has since changed the headline in the story linked in the OP.

Quote:unless Trump is secretly a Russian operative then this whole thing is fake outrage

I don't want to bother reading through the entire thread so maybe someone has already pointed this out.

When Trump made his comments, which were about 30 seconds out of a 1 hour press conference (something Clinton hasn't had in 8 months.), Clinton's campaign responded almost instantly saying that his call for Russia to release the emails that Hillary deleted from her server, but hackers have claimed they've recovered a potential threat to national security.

What they failed to realize with that comment was that IF it's indeed a threat to national security to release those emails, then their nominee lied.  The emails in question are the 30,000 she deleted because they were of personal nature, covering her yoga classes, Chelsea's wedding, and other stuff that she and her lawyers deemed trash worthy.  Why would these emails be considered a national security threat....unless there were emails deleted that WERE a threat to national security?  The FBI has already confirmed that there were emails that were deleted that were indeed of a top secret, but Clinton has never acknowledged this.

Basically, by charging Donald Trump with treason or whatever nonsensical accusations democrats are making here, they're confirming Clinton is a liar.

The emails are going to be released.  It wouldn't surprise me to see that happen either right before she speaks tonight, or after the convention is over to tamp down any potential bounce.  No doubt, once the emails are released, no matter when that happens, the Clinton campaign will once again accuse Trump of instigating this.

What makes this even funnier is that 4 years ago, democrats guffawed when Romney stated that the Russians were still a national security threat.  Obama taunted him during a debate for making such a statement.  Today, they're singing an entirely different tune.
So let me get this correct. It's ok for Trump to ask Russia who is our adversary to interfere in American politics?

I guess he will tell some more jokes about asking North Korea to stop China from building their man-made island in the Western Pacific.

6 pages in of a thread YOU started and you still don't understand Trump isn't asking Russia to do anything. Watch the press conference first. If you had, you probably wouldn't have started this thread.

Trump asked Russia, or whoever it is that has those "missing" emails, to release them.  He's not asking anyone to "interfere in American politics."  Even if that was his intent, so what?  You don't think these countries are attempting to do what they can regardless of what Trump is saying?  That's pretty naive.

You lefties are funny.  First he supposedly encouraged espionage against the U.S..  Then he supposedly committed treason.  Now he's supposedly asking Russia to interfere in American politics?  Which is it?

There is a reason why there is such a down-play in the media today regarding his comments.
Quote:if you read the comment and not the headlines in the media, you would figure it out for yourself.  but you are simply another mark.  misled by main stream news. congratulations, you're a tool.

You've become a very good apologist. I think you have a bright future in politics.
Quote:Oh I do. As people couldnt leave one, the others werent allowed in either.

The wall didnt stop those wanting to leave..the guys with machine guns mounted near the walls made sure of that.

So if you think a mere wall will stop anyone desperate enough, you are naive.

Seems to be working pretty well in keeping the DNC from being protested by fellow democrats within eye shot of a camera.

Love this piece from Paula

July 28th – CNN: “Donald Trump appeared to call on Russian intelligence agencies Wednesday to find 30,000 of Hillary Clinton's deleted emails, adding a stunning twist to the uproar over Moscow's alleged intervention in the presidential election.” Trump: "Russia, if you're listening, I hope you're able to find the 30,000 emails that are missing. I think you will probably be rewarded mightily by our press." The Dems and their lib media comrades are having a stroke over this! Which can only mean that these same folks are either: 1) National security hypocrites (after all it was Hillary who made this possible) 2) Increasingly desperate because granny is a total lemon and Trump may win 3) Unbelievably stupid for thinking Putin only thought of this after Trump spoke yesterday 4) Totally devoid of any sense of humor or the correct answer 5) All of the above Hey libs relax, Putin’s not interested in recipes and yoga routines. Ha! These Hillary apologists are so clueless they don’t realize when Trump’s playing them like a fiddle! P

Trump is the ultimate drive-by [BLEEP] poster.  Trump decides what the story should be, lays out a provocative tweet, the media jumps like a trained frog and the story ends up exactly where Trump wanted it.

Quote:Can you point out where Donald Trump suggested that any foreign government should hack sensitive information from the U.S. Government?

I do recall he asked hackers to break into the hack into college institutions for Obama's place of birth.

That was when he was on his birther kick, which went so well.

How is that going, by the way?  Are he and OJ's investigators getting to the truth?   When is Ol' Donny going to release the oh-so-surprising information he claims to have found with his "team" of investigators he claimed to have sent looking for the "real birth certificate."

I can't believe intelligent people align with this idjit   He's a cartoon.

So I guess the answer to my question is no.
Quote:The E-mails in question were destroyed by Hillary before the FBI investigation. They can not be "hacked." The only thing that could be done would be if Russia was already in possession of the E-mails and released them. But according to Hillary they contained no government information.

But I wonder if they contain negotiations of the cash deals between Hillary and foreign officials.

Yes all that.

High Score, this too.
Quote:That's called treason.

Won't hurt him though...

Clearly he was just making a joke.

Quote:Clearly he was just making a joke.

He was , according to him, being sarcastic. Could be, as he addressed the media being rewarded for any info.

But now I do understand him better. It's sarcasm.

Methinks he should stay with the 140 characters or less, and keep his yapper in a lower gear.
Quote:I do recall he asked hackers to break into the hack into college institutions for Obama's place of birth.

Not Obama's place of birth, the nationality he claimed as a student.

Of course he didn't claim to be part Amerind, so that's one up he has on Faux-cahontus.

There is a reason why he brought it up in the first place. The FBI now believes Russia is behind a series of attacks.

He was lying joking. I get it now.
Russian investors have invested in his properties globally. Donald Jr. told a real estate conference a disproportionate amount of investments come from Russia. His Trump Soho project was investigated for fraud by investors and funding was shown to come from Russia and Kazakhstan (mafia money). He wants to make the US isolationist, leave NATO and is all over Putin's phallus. Many US banks have blacklisted him and much of his debt is tied back to Russia. Members of his inner circle are ex-Russian/Ukrainian consultants with government ties. Putin has aligned all state run media behind Trump.

But Trump says he has no debts to Russia and claims he can get money from NYC banks, so I guess none of this is true. He couldn't possibly be misleading in any way. That never happens.
