Turning left on to Southside and taking a wide turn? The "body of water" at that point is a culvert. That's certainly plausible for someone fatigued.


If they did a DUI screening and he didn't fail it, the worst he could have been charged with was careless driving. That would be enough here for some to demand his head on a platter.

What's wrong with getting up early in order to get to the gym before others show up?

Can't imagine this helps Denard's case for a roster spot.

"Robinson was not impared" that is hard to believe.  I wonder if some money exchanged hands.  If it were deeper water they both could of been killed.

Trying to remember Beach Blvd x Southside Blvd....That is a pretty good size interchange, right? I mean, wouldn't he have to cloverleaf up onto Southside? Meaning it's not exactly like taking a left at a stop sign onto a two lane road- just trying to understand the geography of this. Seems weird.

Driving while tired is every bit as dangerous as driving while intoxicated. I'm just glad the headline wasn't "Jags' RB drowns in vehicle."

It's more than a culvert there, it's a decent sized pond.

Officer Comey stated Denard Robinson was "extremely careless" in his actions, but determined that no charges would be filed.

Can't really imagine it hurts it, though. The NFL will undoubtedly ask what's up, and he'll just say that he was driving home late and fell asleep at the wheel. No action can be taken unless there's evidence of something other than that happening.

The only thing likely to come of this is DRob will get called in to take a "random" drug test on the first day of training camp.

Agreed. I think his on field inconsistencies will be a factor. Not this incident.

I'll buy falling asleep at the wheel and the car going off the road.  But not waking up when the car bounced over a concrete curb, down the bank into the pond, rolled onto it's side and the water started coming in?  I have a hard time believing he wasn't under the influence of some substance.
