Bucs WR Louis Murphy woke up locked inside a museum after a wedding recently so this story is still not the strangest of the offseason.

I can see that happening a lot easier than driving into a pond and not waking up when the cops show up!! Lol

Quote:Just saw wider angle of tire tracks on news4jax noon broadcast...DR did not enter retention pond on Southside,
entered on Beach Blvd. Tire tracks looked more like slowly angled into pond. There was no wide turn and this makes sense as far as which side of car was in water. Actually entry on Beach allows for driver side to be closest to pond. If had actually turned onto Southside entry ramp then passenger side would have been nearest to pond unless car had performed 180. I am one to let process play out but for both to be asleep seems very odd. It is possible and more plausible when it occurred he called for tow and both fell asleep waiting for tow truck to arrive. If not I hope DR and Ms. Staples use that as story and stick to it.
However may have moved DR down RB depth chart.
The description of the wide turn only makes sense as stated in the police report, which is likely to get the street details wrong. That's his job.
I'd say the "180" idea makes more sense (lol...speculating here) than to think he was traveling east bound, although as someone else pointed out, the car may have simply toppled over on its side with the roof pointing toward the boulevard leaving DRob in a precariously dangerous situation near to water. As for the mild angle entry, coming off that curved road he could have conceivably hit the pond from virtually any angle depending on when he started going straight. In other words, he probably landed a bit further sounds of those four trees.

All you Jax folks don't seem to know where this pond/culvert is, but D-Rob found it with his eyes closed!
Thank you! I'll be here all week! Tip your waiter and try the veal!

Looks like DRob might be in trouble with his girlfriend:
Also looks like the sheriff wants the incident reviewed further:
<a class="bbc_url" href='http://www.news4jax.com/news/local/jacksonville/crash-witnesses-say-denard-robinson-barely-missed-their-car'>http://www.news4jax.com/news/local/jacksonville/crash-witnesses-say-denard-robinson-barely-missed-their-car</a>
Quote:The report said the officer found Robinson and the woman, Marissa Staples, asleep or passed out in the front seat of the car, which was submerged in the water on the driver's side. Sources told News4Jax that the car belonged to Robinson's girlfriend, who is not Staples.
Also looks like the sheriff wants the incident reviewed further:
Quote:Sheriff Williams announced Wednesday that he has ordered a review of the incident by the officer's chain of command.
"Based on that review, any necessary and warranted corrective action will be taken," Williams said in a statement.
