And no run game.
Quote:I think the top 100 countdown every year is kinda dumb.

Listen to this man, he is the authority on dumb.

lol
Quote:No its kinda ignorant if u dont think , turnovers whether they're fumbles or int cost us games.. He threw ints in the redzone that cost us points which cost us games..

You mentioned only like 4 of his 18 ints.. Thats Garbage!

And nobody said anything about him throwing the most ints.. I could care less... I like Bortles... When he cut down on the turnovers then ill put him on the pedestal that you have him on..

What is ignorant on your behalf if you think watching this team last season that bortles turnovers was the main reason why we lost games, 11 out of 16 games we was either tied or in the lead during the 4th quarter but our defense couldn't stop a nose bleed and you know it. Any team can overcome turnovers if the defense can provide turnovers as well and in our case we was ranked in the very bottom in those categories so don't tell me he was the main problem. Yes blake can get better and i'm not arguing that but the reason why we had a chance in every game was because of him and you know it.

Oh by the way we last season as a defense had 18 total takeaways overall in a 16 game season and we both know that was pathetic. There's a reason why Dave Caldwell went full steam ahead to fix it this off-season because it was a sore spot on our team.

here is the link right here. http://www.sportingcharts.com/nfl/stats/...tics/2015/

I was listening to the "Move the sticks" podcast with Bucky Brooks and I guess alot of NFL personel/players aren't that high on Bortles. I think we as fans are naturally a bit higher on him.

Which episode?

that's one way to look at it.

the other way is that he was less than 60% completion percentage, 18 INTs and 4 pick 6's.

Many of his long completions were jumpballs for Allen Robinson to get.

Now, before you get it twisted, I love Blake and believe he is the real deal.  But I could make the argument that his numbers don't tell the whole story...

Blake needs to become more of a "single and doubles" hitter, everyone loves the long ball but he needs to become more efficient, in simply moving the chains and cutting down on his mistakes. If he can improve upon this area (I have no reason to believe he cant) he'll have a chance to turn into one of the best QB's in the league, I'd like to see his completion percentage rise by 4-5 points while cutting in his turnovers in half.
Heh - I hope BB is passed over..  only gone make him better!!

Nevermind I just listened to it

yeah I mean it's a fair take. Kid has all the tools and is moving in the right direction but has to cut down on the turnovers. Having an improved defense should help.
Quote:I mean Bortles threw 35 touchdowns they can't ignore that
Yea I dont get why people think its impossible for Blake to be on the list, he was 2nd in the NFL in TD passes with 4400 yards

Keep in mind Jackson is a DT, yes he had a great year also some of his big moments happened in the playoffs

They said on the radio today that the list was made in Dec, when it was a few games left in the season, so thats like right after Blake big game vs Indy and the Jaguars were still alive in the playoff race.

Its a QB driven league to think a DT is a lock to make it over a QB who was a fantasy star and was 2nd in the NFL in td passes is only fooling yourself
Blake had a great statistical season, but had too many game altering mistakes.  He needs to clean his game up to be considered amongst the best.  100 players is a small list when you are squeezing in all positions.  I like Blake, a lot, but some of you are being a little ridiculous.

Its a numbers game more than any knock on Blake. 15 QBs made the list. Carr,Luck,Smith and Cousins have been picked so that leaves 11,they said a rookie QB made the list so that means Winston,Which leaves 10.

Then you have Rodgers,Brady,Wilson,Cam,Brees,Dalton,Rivers,Palmer,Eli,Big Ben,Romo to fit into those 10.
Blake reminds me of Josh Freeman. Same body and playing style.

It doesn't help that I catch him at the beach bars every other weekend...

Romo has no business being on that list.
Quote:Romo has no business being on that list.

He's been pretty consistently good the last few years when healthy. Even if he doesn't make it that still leaves 10 QBs.
Bortles should be in ahead of the qbs on the list so far.

He, like Luck, was injured most of year. I agree.

Do you think Jamaal Charles should be on the list?
