I'm still all aboard the Myles Jack train, Noah Spence certainly wouldn't be a bad pick though.
04-29-2016, 12:36 AM
I think Jack will be selected, but Spence will fall to us at 38.

Quote:Center Nick Martin, Notre Dame
http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/draft/playe...ick-martin
Compares To: Alex Mack, Browns: Like Mack, Martin isn't a truly explosive athlete but his functional power, awareness and technique could make him the leader of an offensive line for a decade. Also like Mack, an impressive week at the Senior Bowl could help Martin steadily rise up boards as the draft approaches.
The Jaguars GM Dave Caldwell had tried to sign Alex Mack and with uncertainty at a huge key position for the offense, he has to address it with Ryan Kelly already drafted.
The Jaguars did not try to sign Alex Mack this year. Dave Caldwell said he did not want a player on the wrong side of 30.
Second round is too high for a center, but I hope we fill that need in the third.
Quote:I heard that Reggie Ragland has a red flag for some kind of heart problem if its not founded he would make the most sense..
It is an enlarged aorta and just needs to be monitored, not treated.
Quote:So much talent left still. As long as we can avoid the A'shawn, Dodd, and Ogbah landmines I don't see how it won't be a quality pick.
Why don't you want any of those guys?
Quote:Didn't the 49ers give up their pick?
You mean #37? They gave the Chiefs that one.

Does anybody know which NFL legend will call our second round pick? I assume they are doing that again this year.

Quote:I think A'Shawn is a 3-4 run stopper and do not like his ability to rush the passer or his fit on this team.
Why don't you want any of those guys?
Dodd is just a bad athlete. 20th percentile I believe (maybe 30 I forget if it was him Nassib that was 20/30...either way avoid them both). Don't bet on bad athletes or you will lose far more than you win. Dodd I do not like that he was a nothing until the final 5 games of his career when he suddenly showed up. I also don't like that he is going to be 24 this year. He never faced anyone who was older than him and yet it still took until the very end of his career to take advantage of lining up against people he was more mature than. It also means if he does beat the odds and succeed he will be past his prime when it comes to his 2nd contract. No thanks all around.
Ogbah has potential and is a very good athlete, at some point in the draft I would probably like him. Just not at 38. His cutups don't show someone who is going to make an impact rushing the passer any time soon to me.

Do we have any 2nd & 3rd Round Mock Draft threads up?
04-29-2016, 01:30 AM
Realistic targets in rounds 2 and 3:
Spence
Jack
Chris Jones
Mackenzie Alexander
Ragland
Jordan Jenkins
Yannick Ngakoue
Nick Martin
Max Tuerk
Kevin Dodd
Jihad Ward
B.J. Goodson
Su'a Cravens
Deon Jones
Kevin Byard
Andrew Billings
Jayron Kearse
Kentrell Brothers
Kamalei Correa
Shilique Calhoun
Kyler Fackrell
Bronson Kaufusi
Keep an eye on these guys listed tomorrow. I'm sure at least one of these prospects will be a Jag and a couple could be available come day 3.

We don't need any more mocks. First day trades make them all worthless.

noah spence is a must.. and its not even close.. maybe nick martin.. but remember ravens cowboys are ahead of us in round 2.. so getting noah spence is nearly unlikely.. nick martin could be the pick if not spence..

I hear Fred Taylor doing Round 2 and MoJo Round 3

They only do it in Round 2 unless a team does not have a second round pick. That is what I remember.

I can predict it will be Burns- 100%. Just a hunch.
