Myles Jack

Quote:That's kind of dumb because he wont play in the 2016 season because of the surgery, and he won't be the same player after the surgery.
Wrong. Surgery would be put off for several years if he needs it. Teams are concerned about his longevity, not the near future.

They really need to move rounds 1&2 to Friday night and do the rest on Sat & Sun, I loathe being at work right now

Quote:70% of the time, defenses are in a nickel based formation. 2 down LBs are a thing of the past. You need LBs who can cover TEs and Ragland can't cover.
I think the concerns about Reggie Ragland in coverage are the primary reason he didn't get drafted in Round 1. Even more than the reported medical condition.

I agree, D6. From what I have read the medical condition isn't a major concern.
I don't think he was ever going in the first round.

Could it be a QB. Connor Cook? They were trying to trade up for Lynch.

Noah Spence could be the guy if they have no doubts about his ability to stay away from drugs.
Rapoport tweeted the Browns are not done trying to collect more picks.

That would make sense. I think the Cowboys were trying to jump over Denver, so the Broncos traded up to not let that happen.

Scarecrow, I thought he was going to go in the 1st Round because enough teams would feel comfortable with him in Zone Coverage. But it's now more evident than ever that teams are devaluing players that will see limited action or less on money downs.

Nobody can say for sure that Jack would make it through a single season without needing microfracture surgery, let alone several years.

It is not true that he will need more surgery this year and miss the whole 2016 season. Every team knows that.

He seems like he could be a Belichick/Patriots guy but as we know they didn't have a first rounder.

Anybody can predict the future. They just don't always make the right predictions.
If multiple doctors say microfracture surgery may be needed in several years, it is safe to assume Myles Jack will be fine short-term and is unlikely to miss any time as a rookie.
