Quote:I know you like Spence, but Dodd seems like he'd be a legit pass rusher too...

Dodd would be fine too. He is not a speed rusher obviously but I think he would be a nice player to add to the d-line rotation.

He was almost unblockable against Bama in the title game.
Quote:Myles Jack is playing this season... We would be lucky to get him.

This, i say he goes to Dallas
Quote:Sebastian janakowsi and Jason hanson were drafted 1st and 2nd round. They have/had good careers. We can solidify the kicking game for 15+ years with this guy from FSU.
16 and 24 years ago. It's that rare for a reason.

Adam Vinateri was a UDFA and is/was better than both of them. Plenty of great kickers come in the 6th/7th rounds or are UDFA's.

Yeah, he's a BIG dude...  Dangit, now you got me back on Spense...  LOL

Have fun whining and crying when Myers shanks easy xtra pta and chippy fga that cost us games.

So the only option is Myers or Aguayo in the second round?

C'mon man. Martin, Fairbairn, Morgan, Oberkrom and others will be around in the late rounds or go undrafted. We've got too second round picks if you're desperate for them to draft a kicker maybe we could use it on one. Anything above a 4th for a kicker would be ridiculous.

Very good DE's and LB's are still on the board yet you're wanting a freaking kicker. smh.

I don't see how they can pass on any of these 3:

Spence

Ragland

Dodd

I expect a quarterback (Cook) and corner (Alexander) to go in first 6 picks. If 2 of these are taken, the Jags need to trade up at that point (probably for a 5th rounder). All 3 of these guys could have been mid-1st rounders and play positions of great need for this team. Ragland may not have the physical skill set of Jack prior to injury), but they can plug him in at linebacker for the next 8-10 years.

Things change over time.  An off-season may do him good...

Or not.

lol You ok buddy? Having a tough time realizing that Myers will be the kicker next year?

Aguayo in the 2nd would be the 2nd worst draft pick in the history of the Jags behind Anger. And I might argue it would be worse considering there will be some seriously talented defensive players on the board when we draft.

Ragland is intriguing as well.  He was projected to go in the first round...  And seems to have good character.  His strengths are in zone coverage in the passing game...  Which is right up our alley.

If there are such and abundance of great kickers in the late rounds and UDFA, then how did we end up with Myers. You remember those shanks and all the whining and complaining on here.

Just stop dude. Steelers brought in a journeyman off the streets last year and he kicked very well in the toughest stadium to kick in.

And it's not like Aguayo is some world beater here.
Quote:Whats so stupid about drafting a quality fg kicker when our current fg kicker is sketchy. A fg kicker is important.

Reeeeeeeeeeeettaaaaaaaarrrddeeeed
Why are we talking about kickers?  We're being trolled, right?

Can everyone just stop answering that kid please. Just makes it worse.

Let's get back on topic. Have we worked out Kevin Dodd? He might be a strong candidate at 38 if we have..
Probably Chris Jones

Jack

Spence

Chris Jones

That's a good quesiton, I couldn't find anything on whether we worked him out or not.  What about that Ogbah kid?  Anyone have an opinion one way or another on him?
