Dave wont pass on Bosa if he is there at 5 book it!
Or if Tunsil is there, do you see what a team like Tampa or the Giants would give you in a trade.
I'd love to know if Davis, or any of these other experts mocking us Tunsil, remember that we signed Beachum. Would be so silly to give up on someone who was so good for 1.5 years, is still young, and is locked in to a fantastic contract...just because maybe he doesn't return from what has been a pretty routine rehab for the past decade.

Hope you're right honestly. I like Bosa a good bit, but there's no doubt Tunsil is the better prospect by a bit. Bosa has a very good ceiling but doubt he's ever among the elite in the league rushing the passer. Tunsil has the qualities to be an elite LT.
Hopefully Tunsil goes 3 and Jack or Bosa is our top options. No way Ramsey passes Dallas.

Just not sure if their willing to make us pass on an elite talent when our LT is either average and likely gone after next year and a guy coming off an acl, who Lance Zerlein said there's a lot of worry about among guys around the league regarding his knee.
I'd much rather go defense, I just can see why their doing it. It's really not THAT crazy.
I'd be fine with the pick, honestly
that would be the ultimate buzzkill if we got Tunsil.
It just depends on the grades. If you have a guy that is a tier above the rest you take him. If Tunsil is rated similarly to Bosa the Bosa should be the pick.
While I'd be surprised if we took a tackle, I wouldn't be pissed if we took Tunsil. Our LT spot is a question mark and while Parnell is good, he's not elite.
If we're not confident in Joeckel (which we're not) - then you go out and sign a FA (which we did).. we can also draft a tackle in rounds 2-4 that could be pretty good.
no need to spend a top 5 pick on an offensive lineman IMO. These guys aren't on the Boselli or Ogden level... only those guys could warrant a top 5 pick at that position IMO.

I wonder this too. I get that he was in the second or third wave of signings and maybe was overshadowed a bit by the Okung signing, but he still he was a good starting left tackle in Pittsburgh. You'll see Joeckel's name brought up in the blurbs even so often, but I don't think I've seen anyone even mention Beachum.
Id take tunsil if he's there his only real issues is his stance and that's coach able

Tunsil, Beachum, Linder, Cann, Parnell maybe? With Joeckel on the block.
BB5 likes this draft.
Just gotta outscore the opponent.

^ Uhhhhhh yeah, that would work nicely.
Still would prefer Bosa.
Will Beacham play guard? Seems like the story around him was that he was adamant to play tackle.
Jaguars passed on Ogden in favor of Hardy in 1996. How did that work out? If Caldwell has Tunsil at the top of his board by a lot over Bosa, they have to take him even though it's not a sexy pick.

Completely different era. Boselli and Ogden's impact in today's era is only a fraction of what it was in previous generations. I don't think it would be a stretch to debate that Hardy would be more impactful than Ogden in today's NFL.

He said that when he was an FA and had a choice to choose another team if they said they envisioned him at guard. Now that he's signed and the option might be play guard or ride the pine he might be forced to sing a different tune. I'm sure he wouldn't be happy about it, but I think he would probably do it.
The more pertinent question might be would he even be good at guard? He's already an undersized LT who gets by with incredible footwork and technique, and is only average in the run game. Not quite the same skill set as what it takes to be the dominant road grading guard we are wanting paving the way for our new Chris Ivory toy I don't think.
