Loll. He knew. He also knew that Pennsylvania has a system where most delegates are directly voted for and then the beauty contest gets a few delegates. Is that so hard. Winner gets 5 out of 34? The Colorado republican party hated trump.

Cruz got 34 delegates while cementing himself as an insider in an anti-establishment year. As a result he's down 18 points in national polling within the margin of error with John kasich and polling in last place in the next few primaries.
Quote:the executive branch is eroding our property rights through regulations and the lives of the innocent were cancelled out by five of the most educated people to ever set foot in this great land.

Representative government is only as good as the representatives.  The greater design of our constitutional republic is that power should be splintered between the three branches of government and the people who elect their representatives through a redundant set of checks and balances.  When you have an unelected oligarchy conspiring to fundamentally usurp the ability of the people to voice their assent or decent, or in this case deny them the basic right to be the authors of the authority given to their representatives, then this is a fundamental bastardization of representative government replacing it with the Tyranny of the few!

I would have said this a bit differently, but yeah.  You've pretty much described the current problem with our democratic republic.

It's not the Constitution, or the theory of democracy that's the problem.  It's that the safeguards the founding fathers put into place have been usurped by the major wealth and power holders of the country.  The fact that we are seeing ever increasing imbalances between the middle class and the wealthy is evidence of it.

The solution is the problem, but to be honest, we can't really get to a solution untill we have a tipping point of the electorate that is willing to admit this is a problem.

Currently there are about 35-45 percent of the Republicans that see the problem and have begun to vote for Trump.

On the Demoratic side, the number is around 43-48 percent.

But we're not at the tipping point yet...

I find it somewhere between ironic and comedic that the Republican Party's defender of the middle class is one of the wealthiest men in the world.

Yeah, because all wealthy people are bad bad men.

I know i know.  the idea of someone being able to see the big picture devoid of petty factional allegiance must be hard but don't worry.  We'll get through this together ok tj.  Smile

The idea that he cares at all about the middle class is laughable. Up until a few months ago give me an example to show he even was aware of the middle class.

Trump cares about Trump. His ego keeps him going.

Next you're going to tell me Hillary cares about the middle class.

It's the "wealthy = bad" regurgitation that gets old. Thats the entire basis of the envy driving our society: they didn't build that, so give me some of it.

Trumps been a pro American industry advocate for as long as anyone. He employees tens of thousands of people. Show me anything that proves he doesn't.

Democrats on the other hand have a national policy based on the idea of making heating oil too expensive for people on fixed incomes to heat their homes or have soccer moms able to drive to practice. They implemented the mist regressive tax in the us code to make sure 90% of all workers can't afford to buy the means of production. Who really cares?

The flip side of that is many Americans confusing value with net worth. Are you the head of the Elect Bill Gates for President committee? If envy is driving our society (who are you envious of?) than let's go with the richest dude in the country.

lol ... are any American politicians running on a platform in which they don't advocate for American industry? Standard stuff. And I like how you switched subjects to the Democrats right away. Defending Trump is a lot harder than you anticipated, isn't it? You think there is a reason he hasn't yet released his tax returns?

Trump is all about the Trump brand. Now he's selling it to voters (i.e., consumers).

Has any other candidate besides Bernie and Trump said they are anti trade agreement?

Has any other candidate besides Bernie and Trump voiced a vastly different foreign policy than the status quo America World Police policy?

This is not "standard stuff".  Strict immigration laws are not "standard".  I guess it is if you haven't been paying attention to our policies for the past decade or so.

Lol. Carrying about someone goes a lot further than just lying to them every 4 years.

Wait trump has openly said he's for sending ground troops back to the middle East to fight ISIS, ready for a trade war with China, and advocated American intervention in numerous other foreign conflicks like ukrain, Let's not confuse him for a non-agression foreign policy.

He's against the "forever war".  Was first guy to come out strong against our destabilization of middle east while other candidates seem to indicate we don't do enough.  I dont know exactly what you're talking about.  He's anti-TPP.

He's not an isolationist but he's the closest thing to it that's left.

Trump says a lot of things, but usually in hyperbolic generalities. Some specifics can be found, but seldom from his own mouth. Mostly we hear "trust me, I'm a billionaire and a winner".

I didn't say he's perfect, and he's not even my preferred candidate.  he just is over Hillary.
