Any idea what time he's supposed to be in town?

He should already be, I read he was supposed to travel here yesterday(assuming he arrived last night then) and the meeting would have been today. This afternoon we'll probably know more Smile
Pittsburgh's beat writer is reporting that they want to resign him.  He could be pulling a Vernon and using as leverage for a better contract but I guess it's expected for them to have some interest.

I think the problem will be, he wants to be assured of a starting position.   I'm not sure we can tell him that.    It's the same thing that happened with Robert Ayers.

They only have like 5 million in cap space. They might not be able to afford him.

Would start at LG, but I'm sure he wants to start at LT.

Don't expect the Jags to sign this guy. Thing is, he would take Joeckel's spot via competition. You're right, it can't be promised.

I read on PFT they made an offer to Russell Okung. I definitely don't see them resigning Beachum if they bag Okung.
I believe the Seahawks also are interested in Beachum as well. Seems like I heard he's going to visit them after us.

Someone on twitter wrote to @ryanohalloran: Actual email from reader.

"Sign Beachem, trade Joeckel & a 6th for M. Bennett (Seattle)."

The Jags would be wise to lockup Beachum today, don't let him leave the building. The guy is an elite pass protector when healthy and is relatively young, this is an ideal situation for the Jags to pounce on.

If they feel he could unseat Joekel, I agree with you. They've not done as well as of late in letting these guys leave. We'll see how they bounce back with this one.
"Slide the Joke to guard"...LOL

I don't think they'd trade Joeckel yet. Once Beachum transitions and plays to the level we all think he could, then I think Joeckel could be gone. But I don't know if there's a lot of suitors who'd give up what we want for a previous 1st rounder. Right now, I'm not sure how much value he holds.....

GO JAGS!!

I'm not feeling too optimistic at the moment. Too much competition from teams that are strong playoff/super bowl contenders and would hand him the starting job no questions asked.

Fingers crossed.

We don't even know if he's interested in signing or just going through teams with a potential job opening

In fairness, I don't think it's out of the question.  His run blocking has actually not been terrible, and being sandwiched between Beacham and Linder could do wonders lol.

sandwiched between two benches is the ideal spot for me.

Sandwiched between 2 ham sandwiches received via trade for him?
I'd be surprised if he signs here the more I look at it.
So where's Beachum? Did he sneak out of town or is he at Ruth's Chris with Dave?
