Quote:So, if he times it right, then it could be legal just as long as he's a yard away from the line when it's snapped?
I think probably no. It says "lined up" so I would assume to start the play you would probably have to be set at 1 yd. or less.
Quote:Watt isnt a pure edge rusher so 5.5 is actually right on for where we wouldve expected him to be

Did you pick him to get 20 sacks the next year?  Most people don't expect that from Fowler either.
I liked Williams (TE Min signed) but giving he got hurt the 1st day of practice....yeah would've picked someone else.

Time machine was stuck in reverse so I went forward in time instead. The good news is that Dante Fowler turns out ok, he just had a quiet first season like Mack and Beasley.
He was not the sack machine many anticipated but the injury does become a factor.  I love how hard he hits and his drive for the game, Will give him this year and see if he can improve.  I bet he becomes a good player.

He hasn't produced a gem like this (yet) so I think we're ahead of the game.

Almost as cringe worthy as this

I'm not worried about Fowler not 1 bit. I think the game will slow down for him this year and he will explode and wreck a couple games.

I agree. This could be his year. Campbell is gonna command a lot of double teams from offensive lines. That leaves Fowler's opportunity open..

God friggin dammit dude. Don't ever put a link up to that abomination to mankind. Temporarily ban yourself.  Now I'm sick to my stomach, thanks a friggin lot.

To be honest, that's probably going to benefit Ngakoue more.

That's not saying that Fowler isn't gonna get his chance though.. With Campbell in the lineup, everyone should benefit..

I agree but he might have to do more with less playing time. I just think Wash is more of a believer in Yannick based on the snap count/productivity. Not to mention, you have even heavier guys up front now and Ngakoue is more of a speed rusher than Fowler so he's probably going to continue getting more snaps on base downs.

He'll have to earn his snaps, but there should be plenty of nickel snaps in which you'd likely see:

Fowler-Campbell-Malik-Ngakoue

Campbell will probably play the strong-end on base downs - but won't likely play there often in nickel IMO.
If he stops smoking weed and focuses on his game then he might be good this year

Quote:tbh we don't even really have a role for him right now as a starter and he was a 3rd overall pick

Ngakoue - Jones - Jackson - Campbell

Smith - Poz - Jack
What you just typed combined with Ngakoues production SCREAMS trade to me. I don't think it would be necessarily a terrible idea if they traded Fowler for a decent return. I don't think it's out of the question either. A high 3rd round pick in aprils draft would honestly get me thinking about it. Thank god im not the decision maker, right?

Edit: especially if we can land Solomon Thomas

Yeah his value will probably never be higher than it is right now, but they just drafted him. They dont see him how some of us do.

I don't think Campbell's presence screams the trading of Fowler.  I see two guys that can play multiple positions which increases each of their value, plus Campbell is 31 so he's only going to be a short term contributor here.  If it screams anything to me it's that we'll see more line shifts right before the snap.  Coughlin's never had a problem stocking defensive ends and I don't disagree with that philosophy personally.

Thank the Lord above for that, and not just for Fowler's sake.  Thank you Jesus.

That Nickel combo could easily be the Jaguars best interior pass rush combo in franchise history.
