God Christie is such a [BLEEP] blowhard

Quote:It is tough to watch. He's arguably the most intelligent and honest person on stage, but he's lost in regards to politics

This isn't his election to win I think he wasn't ready, because he under estimated the need for public speaking & debating when running for President of the US.  He should run for Governor & then try again next election or the one after that.

He is brilliant and has a tremendous resume, but it does seem as if he's not ready.

That being said Forbes Magazine claims Dr. Ben Carson has the best Tax plan among all the candidates.  He simply lacks the ability to get his message out there to the public effectively in these debates.
I find it funny that Hilary Clinton is only known because of her husband the former President, Bill Clinton.  A man whom was almost impeached & got out of charges by debating the meaning of the word "IS"

and now his wife has debates about ISIS

Quote:think Cruz has spoiled a good opportunity to separate himself from the pack by playing the poor me stop attacking me card to many times. Rubio has been on point and as always I think Rand can out discuss any of them on any topic in substance. For the life of me I can't figure out why Republicans can't get behind Rand in mass........He would destroy any democrat in the national elections.

The Rand thing is crazy. Seems like most people I talk to think he makes great points and he always seems to get huge cheers at the debates but he is polling terribly.

It's like people don't like substance with their answers. Wonder if he would poll better if he threw out more one liners and fear mongered like the rest of them.
At this point I'm just praying the polls don't reflect where the votes go and Rand is way closer to the top than the polls indicate. It's a long shot but until he's completely out I got to hold out hope.

He is but he has experience doing a decent job in NJ (A blue state) and he is likable among Democrats.

I wish they would stop letting Jeb Bush, Rubio and talk and hear more from Rand & Dr. Ben Carson.
Amerika!

Anybody who makes that mistake is clearly unfit to run our country.

After this debate, it would be very hard to make a case as to why Rand should NOT be President. I understand that in some ways he's just riding his dad's coattails, but he was the only candidate out there tonight that presented policies that make common sense. He also got some of the loudest pops tonight, but Fox for the most part, just ignored him. We need to stop having debates that are broadcasted on corporate media networks and leave it to public forums. I remember at one point Governor Kasich was trying to make a point about foreign policy, but the moderators interrupted him and told him that they had to move on to another question because of Google's "search results" or something like that. What a sham.
If Trump wasn't running and that was the Republican host of candidates, this election would already be in the bag. Hillary Clinton would be already on her way to the white house. I couldn't see a single one of them on stage actively combating the MSM/Hillary and winning like Trump has. Hell, the only reason Bernie is doing as well as he is, is because Trump absolutely obliterated Hillary over Bill's womanizing past when she tried to attack Trump. Otherwise, Hillary would still be in the lead by far.

Sad to say, but It would be an overwhelming defeat for the GOP if Donald Trump wasn't in the race and leading the pack. That shows how far the quality of candidates has fallen. Rand Paul and Ted Cruz may be good conservative ideologues, but there wasn't a person on that stage who has the charisma, the aura, or the influence to best the Democrat media machine.

I didn't bother watching. For one, I have about 200 other channels on DirecTV, and virtually all of them had something more useful playing. Two, I already know that Rand Paul is my preferred candidate, John Kasich is my fallback, Ted Cruz is my desperation play and Trump is "move the [BLEEP] to Canada right [BLEEP] now before he gets us nuked".

Said this before... Rand Paul makes too much sense to be President.

Its not the sense. Its the monotone voice.

Exactly what i thought. You cant spend 48 hours making the case that Trump is a crybaby and then act like a crybaby.

I love him as a candidate. Hes my second choice. That being said when he hit the homerun i. The cnbc debate it was appearant to everyone that the moderators had utter contempt for all the candidates and had no intent on bringing up issues.

Last night he got mentioned in certain questions and was quick to the trigger when the candidates themselves avoided attacking him and gave substantive answers.

Instead of looking like an avenger for the persecuted right he looked like a challenger uncomfortable sitting in the champs seat for a change.

Exactly, sheeple love the theatrics. Me? I prefer a guy with substance.

It's because he's related to his dad. No one with any sense wants that guy to have influence on the White House.

Sheeple wont vote for Rand Paul. Sheeple make up the overwhelming majority of the voting base.

That's my point.
I am just tired of these guys telling us America is under attack and we all ought to be afraid.

They have some good ideas, but they're selling too much fear for me.   I don't feel that fearful about the future or about terrorists or liberals or anything else.   Someone needs to come along and tell us everything is going to be okay and our best days are ahead of us.   These guys are too depressing for me to get behind any of them.

Glad to see Rand Paul there last night.   I don't agree with a lot of what he says, but he does offer a very valid, intellectually honest contrasting point of view.   Too many of these guys say they will do whatever it takes to defeat our enemies.   Think about that for a second:   "Whatever it takes."   What exactly does that mean?   I'm not sure I want to find out.
