40% of the debate was Trump scandals, 35% attacking Trumps character, 20% attacking Trumps policy, and 5% booger eating.

Crazy to see Kelly prosecute Trump on a civil law case during a debate then ask Trump to balance a budget in 45 seconds. All with nicely prepared power points. Why didn't the rest of the candidates get grilled on their unrealistic policies? Nah, easier to just pit them against Trump.

I will say this. Trump is NOT a good debater. In his defense though, this is what politicians and lawyers live for. While Cruz and Rubio have spent their lives mastering the art of dodging questions, talking points, and deception, Trump was building a business empire.
Quote:That's because Romney and McCain were actual Republicans who believed and touted orthodox Republican positions.

True. Fortunately orthodox Republican positions like globalist trade deals, the war economy, Christian zealotry, and anti-Russian sentiment are dying and so will the Republican Party unless they reform.

And she used five year old bb numbers and neglected to mention the fact that the lead plantiff was leaving the case.

Also u hit a great point. The debate format is flawed. Balance the federal budget and end world hunger in 60 seconds? Rubio and cruz are policy wonks for saying "go to my website?"

You left out the part where Trump defended the size of his penis.

Trump defends himself on every attack. Maybe its a crutch, but it's what he does. He just isn't going to dodge and spin. Rubio commented on his penis size and Trump defended himself. It's just his style. Maybe it would have been better to ignore the schoolyard tactic from Rubio, but Trump is a enigma.

Swag... You cant teach that!

If you have to talk about, and defend it it's called Sag....like what it does.

I don't care if he plays with it

I'll give you this much.  It was pretty clear that FOX News was going after Trump.  The thing is, they were armed with actual facts.  It's kind of tough for Trump to debate actual facts when they come out.  They also went after Rubio as well as Cruz with equally tough questions.  How effective was that?  We will see.

I challenge people to actually look up the facts regarding Trump University as well as the hotel that he owns in south Florida.  I suspect that the facts that came out in the debate are probably pretty damaging.  Does Trump really mean what he says?

In all honesty, I thought that John Kasich put forth the best and most sensible argument.  I had written him off a long time ago, but he does have a point... actually several points that I agree with.  I'm thinking that he is going to be the eventual "dark horse" in the race.

At any rate, the bottom line is selecting a candidate that can beat Hillary Clinton in the general election.  I don't think that Trump can do it, but any of the other three contenders can.

In a recent interview with Kasich, he says he is sticking it out until the primaries turn north where his support is stronger.

Kasich comes across as the only adult at these debates... Rubio and Cruz pretty much look as bad as Trump at this point.

No they didn't.  Marco Rubio supports the Transpacificpartnership.  This is a partnership that was negotiated at levels so secret members of congress couldn't even take copies of the bill home with them or make notes.  This is a document that has the potential to surrender portions of our sovereignty to an international body of countries similar to the EU and i haven't heard an explanation or defense from Rubio about it.  If this debate or any debate was really about facts and reason then we would be spending 20 minutes at minimum flushing this out.

As for the ACTUAL FACTS that Fox News came up with to go after Trump, its kind of disingenuous when you think about it.

Chris Wallace had this amazing graphic about the budget trying to imply that Donald Trump doesn't know what he's talking about because the first year budget won't balance based on the cuts he proposes.  Unfortunately for Chris, I haven't heard Donald Trump, Ted Cruz, Marco Rubio, Hillary Clinton or any other candidate for President assert that they will be able to balance the budget for Fiscal Year 2017.  It was a nice graphic, it looked like a gotcha moment but the fundamental premise of the Question was incorrect.

1.) the fact that cutting entire departments from the Federal government wouldn't immediately bring the budget into balance speaks to the general incompetence of Politicians, not Trump.

2.) Trump has expressed support for the Penny Plan.  That means that you cut one penny out of every dollar the government spends and in 6 years the budget balances.  He has also said that there could be targeted cuts of greater than 1% in certain areas and eliminating certain departments all together.

Meghan Kelly also did a lot of research on Trump University, she had court fillings, and quotes, and all the rest.  Looks official, sounds official.  It also helps to remember that she left out the fact that the lead Plantiff Submitted a letter recanting her complaint, and that the better business Bureau re-rated Trump University at an A level.  I could mention the fact that the student population feels so ripped off by the traditional university system that they were willing to support a 74 year old soviet socialist to make other people pay off their debt but i digress.

Sales training is hard.  It doesn't guarantee success and there is almost always someone who feels cheated because they didn't get the results they thought they would get from the course.  Unless there was some situation where they paid for a class and there literally was no class i chalk it up to that.  at the time of completion of the course 98% of people said it was helpful.

And its amazing that people say that Trump is too weak a candidate to compete against the Rape defender but the other three options aren't strong enough to overtake him.  Kind of interesting logic isn't it?

Also, the guy that doesn't have the ball usually comes out the cleanest.  If you think in a general election setting there isn't enough opposition research about being a managing director at the investment bank that almost ended capitalism (Really...  like the whole thing) then good luck with that.  At least he hasn't made any off color jokes.
Quote:Trump fears Megyn Kelly.

Kelly was dressed like an escort/model.  Seemed really out of place.

Then the debate began.

She fit right in like the bikini girl holding the round cards at a prize fight.

Seemed as if he was locking in the VP spot.

Which he probably should.

The reason Kasich looks so much like an adult is because he isn't having to constantly defend his character and values from three sides. No one talks about him, no one challenges him, no one really cares about him. I wouldnt doubt it if the debate was designed to make Kasich look acceptable to push his chances in Ohio to force a brokered convention. I guarantee if Kasich was in Trumps position and having to defend himself from the establishment, moderators, and other candidates he would fold.

Remember his comental about women coming out of the kitchen to support him? If anyone cared about him that would still be in the news and he would be on his way out of the race.

A lot of folks, including his constituents, have a family dynamic where there's a stay at home spouse.  Particularly those who choose to have and raise children.

There's nothing wrong with that.

The way a lot of households mismanage their finances, many if not most would prefer to have a stay at home spouse.  Or, may benefit from it even if they are afraid to try.

Don't get me wrong, I understood what he was saying and why he did. However, I know for a fact the liberal media would have destroyed him already if he was the front runner.
I think a lot of people would prefer he rose above it. It's turned into a race to the bottom and is probably helping a Clinton presidency...

If he somehow gets the Republican nomination, he's absolutely got my vote. If we get right down to it, he'd been my favorite after Rand dropped out, and I only started shifting towards Cruz when it became screamingly obvious that he's not going to be in the big show. He's an interesting VP option, though, especially for a candidate like Cruz or Rubio who have more southern support than northern. Not to mention that he'd carry Ohio for the GOP no matter who he was working under.
