The Jags have fortified a lot of positions via free agency obviously, which complicates predicting who we take at #4....personally I would go defensive line here and take Mixon later to bolster the run game ..Solomon Thomas and Allen would be heavily considered if we go defense. I don't like Fournette or Cook there. Trading down might also be a power play, but what about trading up too get Garrett or getting another piece for the secondary if we stay at 4 if Thomas or Allen are gone ? Tom Coughlin doing work in FA has giving the Jags great flexibility come draft day! So with all that being said, what do we do or predict?

We don't take scumbags like Mixon/Cook anymore, been there, done that, got the tshirt.
I like the idea of taking more D line though, or maybe a versatile player like Adams, could see him at either safety spot. I really would like to trade back if we can then stock up on offensive lineman like Lamp/Feeney. Pick up Murray as a FA.
If they land Latavius Murray then an RB at 4 seems unlikely. A trade down is plausible. The FO has been active for sure. Tom doesn't man this ship solo.

Cooks a scumbag? I thought he was a good character guy.
Two things came to mind. In regards to Coughlin's beliefs and even recent sayings. We're either attempting to trade down to add an offensive lineman and another pick for day two or three. Or, we'll sit tight and take the best pass rusher off the board.
Coughlin has gone on record saying that you can NEVER have too MANY pass rushers. So I don't think he'd rule out Solomon Thomas or Johnathan Allen there at four. Those guys can compete. They can play inside or outside like Campbell. And having a versatile and healthy rotation of pass rushers is critical in today's pass happy era.
Remember, at one point I think Coughlin had Strahan, Kiwanuka, Tuck, Pierre-Paul & Osi Omeunyria (probably butchered his last name) all on the roster or at least a trio of them altogether at some point on his roster. They were always on the QB's back with that heavy rotation in New York.

He allegedly punched some chick(no video) but the case got tossed out pretty quickly so it seems like a non issue
The there was thing about having a bunch of dogs/puppies chained up improperly, i think some might have died i dont know.
And theres rumors of his group of friends being questionable characters.

Especially since the FAs said they've dealt with Caldwell and Idzik..

Damn, I've never heard anything bad about him. But either way I don't think he was at play at #4

He also got a criminal mischief charge for causing damage with BB guns on campus.
Fournette is the pick in my opinion. Or Trubisky
Let me put this Theory to bed we're not getting a Qb at pick number #4. Tom Coughlin is under the mandate to win now and that's why this franchise players the way we did in free agency because of it. Why would they choose a QB at 4 when all of them have flaws in their game that will prevent them from being successful this season. They want impact players at number 4 and if they was picking at you be at that spot they would have gotten rid Gabbert via trade like they done in 2014 the same year they drafted Blake. They will draft a QB at some point in this draft but it not going to be at pick number 4 nor not going to be within the first three rounds because they want place players with those picks that could come in and win now.

When you say these things you make it seem like "truth", when in fact it's just your "opinion".. Unless, you working in the front office?? But I'm sure you not!
You see getting a QB at 4, I doubt will happen, but I believe it is still possible! The glaring weakness on this team is the QB position! In this league you don't gamble on a Qb to become successful, unless he has shown you he can be successful..And Blake haven't done that! He haven't showed us he can WIN! And that's what count!
I believe if Watson is at 4, it's gonna be hard to pass him up! Think about it, if we swap Bortles out with any top 10 QB this is a playoff team.. That's the key position that remains weak! And it wouldn't surprise me if they grab one earlier then suspected...

If you don't personally know Cook, I wouldn't call him a scumbag because of allegations!
Getting another dlineman and safety all sounds like bad idea in the first.. Even trading back unless u can get multiple picks this year and next..
It's clear the 2 positions that need to be address and that's QB and Rb.. And Murray definitely is not the answer!

"Fumbles and arrests are a bad combination. He's got a lot of ability but he's got on the field problems with ball security and multiple arrests off of it. You have to decide if he will be responsible with more money and more time on his hands. If you have any doubts, just wait around for another running back because there will be plenty this year." - NFC executive
I'm not sure any of these moves matter to who is picked at 4.
Campbell doesn't mean you don't take Thomas or Allen.
Church doesn't mean you can't take Hooker or Adams.
Free agents are for now. Draft picks are for the future.
In 2 years, half of these signings in free agency might not be here. And wouldn't you rather replace them with a 2 year player than a rookie?
These are the signings that allow your board to dictate who you draft.
The selection we make at 4 has less to do with our free agents and more about the teams ahead of us. If there are 2 QBs taken in the top 3. We have our choice of top D-line talent. Why would we turn away from that just because of our signings.
I hope we're able to trade down into the teens, grab some O-line help and extra picks.

I agree with you to a extent.. First if Myles Garrett is there of course you get him.. Here's the thing, the jaguars are trying to win now and the pieces are there to win now only except at Rb,QB, Guard, and TE.. Getting another Dlineman will not help the Jaguars right now!
I believe it's about the now not the later! That's why either a RB or QB will be our pick!

With that logic, I guess it will be Fournette. We will not draft a QB except for depth late. Take the pressure off Bortles by giving him an OL and running game and you won't have to replace him.
Coughlin won't take "character" guys. And he won't draft anyone with fumble issues. But, I wouldn't be surprised if he takes OL with the 4th pick. Not that I endorse that decision, but it would be like Coughlin to do something like that. Garrett, Allen, Thomas, Adams, Hooker and Fournette are the only players worthy of taking with the 4th pick. The only other option would be to trade down out of 4th pick for a mid-1st, 2nd and 3rd round picks.

Not even the allegation, everything else that he has done and the everything that he is paints a very clear picture. This guy is trouble. Whether it's the issues with the animal abuse or criminal mischief, or that he has this huge entourage of total thugs. He's an obvious scumbag thug, I will not retract that statement.

I agree..
If we sign Murray, it will either be Solomon Thomas or Mitch(ell) Trubisky.
