If Romo can remain healthy he is elite. And probaly could put up better numbers. We have three very good starting receivers. That if not playing catch up the majority of the time. Can make plays.
Plus if you think the coaches won't ask Church questions about romo and his health. You would sadly be mistaken.
I can't understand how Jaguar fans can't at least be a little excited about the possibility of Romo coming here. We freaking stink and have drafted in the top 10 nearly my entire adulthood. What we have done isn't working.....
To see the look on Blakes face if Romo is traded for or released and walk in the doors. Would be priceless. No doubt he would a brick.

He wouldn't even know unless sports center is on in The Ritz.

Look, I completely understand the excitement he could bring. Especially with this defense we seem to have, it's like when Denver took a chance on a few years with Manning. I'd support Romo all day long if we brought him in, and the thought of an elite QB is great. A year or two in a backup roll fine tuning mechanics could do wonders for Bortles as well.
But his age, and recent durability issues is the red flag for me. I just don't see how he stays healthy here. Not to mention, what's our backup plan at QB? We have one more year with Blake if we pick up the option and then what? Franchise him? Let him walk? Start over with another rookie?
You don't think one of the receivers would say, man? Hope your practing hard. Blake: why? Ya never guess who they just brought in? Blake:who Tony friggin Romo is here. Blake: ooh click

TBH, the receivers will probably be shocked to be hit in the hands on a 5 yard route.

Didn't people say Mnaaing was done too due to injuries?

I wouldn't even compare it to Denver's situation because our defense is no where close to where there was (we still have no pass rush) and Romo is not even in the same league as Manning, even in his twilight years.
Then again, we aren't winning a SB. A game manager who doesn't throw pick 6s like he is getting a commission will get us a home playoff game.
We know it isn't happening, but speculation is fun.

I'd be all for it, I just wouldn't do it if it was my money. But hey, its not my money so I'm all for it

Well, yeah, I'm not spending any of my own money on Romo, lol
If we got Romo we would have to be favorites to win the division until he gets hurt, then we are probably fighting for a wild card if we're lucky with Blake.
Hes one injury from a wheelchair, but he can still play and would instantly make us 10 times the team we would probably be with Bortles.
Why not.

Right? Worst case, we end up with what we were going to start the season with anyway.

Odds are he is more accurate than BB even from a wheelchair.

When you think about it, theres more excuses to not do it then to do it. At this point, I just want to win, screw winning the offseason, just want to win for once.
I'd have to think that the front office is atleast considering it. I honestly want to see us trade for him just to spite the Texans lol.
Trade a 6th to Dallas, they will take it.
