Somebody pass Gil Brandt those advanced metrics! It's pretty clear Bortles has the most upside.

Pretty clear how? His embarrassing completion %? His wonky mechanics? Horrible decision making? Mariota is literally better in every aspect of the game except the deep ball. Though considering he is already better at that than bortles was, all he needs is a wr who can make receptions downfield. Mariota's superior football iq, awareness, throwing mechanics and footwork, and his athleticism give him a much higher ceiling.

Why are you guys giving any of these Colts fans the time of day? I live in Indy and they are the most delusional, arrogant, entitled Corkies I've ever dealt with in any city for any team. You've got to be pretty desperate for attention to troll some other team's Message Board, presumably because you can't find any kind of acceptance on your own. Whatever FBT wants to hang on these lowlifes is fine with me.

 

Bottom line is that the tide has clearly changed. Colts are falling apart like a Chinese Tuxedo in a tsunami. Media creation QB, worst GM in the league, idiot sociopath Owner who cuts his coach off at the knees for whatever reason. Maybe he and Grigson are party buddies trolling Haughville together now with a trunk full of Oxy's and unmarked bills looking for a good time. Whatever the reason, it's good for us and bad for idiot Colts fans.

Same goes for this Baconator guy too. He ain't any more self-actualized than coltswarrior.

I totally agree Bortles is raw and hasn't got close to his ceiling. He is also on target to throw over 36 td's so that's a scary prospect for you.


Where's the improvements coming for Mariota if he is already so polished and inferior to Bortles?

The belief the Bortles is a top QB and the contradictory information that shows he isn't really close. If you're being earnest I have papers that I've written, or that I've used in my research that would much more clearly explicate the phenomenon.

I have never said he's a top QB? Please quote me on that... I would put him around top 10 just ahead of Luck, way above the rest of the AFC South QBs.


PS link to your papers would love to read them, may help me sleep well. I've also got a master's degree but don't think it's a big deal. Small bloke syndrome?
