Quote:Hasselbeck was upset after getting hurt. You don't want to slide, you deserve to get hit. Was it brought up in the post game interviews, I didn't see them.
To be honest, Telvin Smith should've had a flag thrown on him because Matt was clearly running out of bounds as Telvin hit him... but then again he could've /should've slide & many QBs (including Blake) pretend to go out of bounds only to get extra yards as they run along the line.
Has anyone notice as Blake has been getting better as a throwing QB he seems not to run as good as he did at the start of the season? I guess I would rather he not run and throw it deep, its better for the team.
Blake should probably slide more, run out of bounds more, and sometimes either throw it away or slide down to avoid getting abused... with the oline still being rather weak...
The Jaguars really need Blake to be healthy he is the entire offense should anything happen to him, thats it for the Jaguars...
Honestly if they dont win this week they should bench Blake for the rest of the season to ensure he's healthy (as playoff hopes would be lost).
If that would have been Blake, you hypocrites would have been whining about how the guy who pushed him should be fined and suspended.BE CONSISTENT

lol still not making any sense.
I saw a ton of people on this board say they would have done the exact same thing that McCoy did.
When it's our player it's "oh he was just playing through the whistle "
When it's another team's player it's "He's dirty!! Throw him out"
You guys are the biggest, worst kind of hypocrites

Haha
I just put up the thread. There were probably 2 or 3 people that were saying it was classless.
You guys are so sensitive. Just be honest and call it like you see it.

should not have been flagged, just like Mccoy should have done what he did.

To be honest, you don't know what you're talking about.
I like how people keep using "hit him". He friggin' shoved the dude. He didn't launch into him going out of bounds.

Are you new to football?
There are fans of
every single football team (NFL, college, High School..........) who think this way and express it on their teams message board after any similarly close plays that happen during the game.
This is nothing new and has gone on as long as there have been "bang bang" plays in football, and will continue to go on as long as there is football.
Some fans get emotional during and after a game and always will, it's never going to change.
I wouldn't have care if they flagged him or not. I watched the game again last night and Hasselbeck's reaction on the sideline was worth any penalty or fine. What a BIG BABY! He acted like a six year old in the playground. I was cracking up. :thanks:
I was just checking out the dolts message board and the hot topic there seems to be the shove Hasselbeck took from Smith. Some are suggesting that the shove was unnecessary as it appeared that Hasselbeck was about to step out of bounds. Other see it differently. Here's the thing:
I have myself observed Tom Brady, who when it appeared he was easing off the gas to step out of bounds suddenly turn up field for more yards. If a quarterback is running down field with the ball and he isn't apparently in the process of 'sliding', then he is just another running back and deserved to get hit... hard. He was clearly still in bounds when the contact took place. The injury itself was not a result of getting shoved but due to his falling down on the sideline. Hasselbeck then threw a little girl 'hissy' fit because someone wasn't nice to him. What a pansy!
No one needs to suffer the self delusion that the shove was motivated by any imagined frustration because the dolts lead us in head to head wins. That's the other pathetically weak rationalization I've read on their team 'comic book' forum. The bottom line is that if their quarterback 'father time' is going to be so stupid as to run down field he is going to get rocked and probably get injured.
They should have played 'clipboard Jesus' to begin with... at least he isn't so frail.
This thread proves how much the game has changed. It's really gotten a lot softer.
Just wondering if any of this has to do with the clock.
I know I do not know about every rule but I thought there was some rule about if you are not touched the clock will stop but if you're pushed out it keeps running. Not really sure just wondering really. I tried to find the rules about being pushed out but I wasnt able to, I did find this article tho which might offer some insight.

Hasselbeck's tantrum was due to re-injuring his broken rib when he hit the ground. He knew at that point he was done for the game. This was confirmed by Tim Hasselbeck on ESPN.

There were 7 consecutive posts in this thread between a couple of kiddies before school today. I wonder who that "someone desperate for attention" might be.
Quote:And for the record, I'm fine with the Telvin play AND Mccoy challenging that Hurns play.
You guys are just too emotional
You're the king of making an issue out of something that isn't there.

That's what I originally thought also...but I was lead to believe otherwise by folks who re-watched the game citing Hasselbeck chirping at our D en route back to
Shady Pines the clots bench...
