Quote:LOL I have known the Pro Bowl is a joke since they added fan voting.
Fan voting began in 1995.

Last year LOL. It is an annual topic.

I did not realize it began that long ago. The Internet was not in everyone's home yet.

The fan voting was done by paper ballot back then.

The players should have to be in the top 5 of a category to qualify as a candidate after week 10, and then the coaches & players can vote for a few wild card players that dont have the stats for whatever reason (injury, etc) that can also be on the vote. The vote should only be online for two weeks for fans to vote & then it can remain at a qtr each;
Coaches, Players, 50% fans
Coaches, Players, 50% fans

I think he'll be in the Pro Bowl but we all know it will be out of default, which is why I oppose the Pro Bowl being before the Super Bowl (should be after like it was for decades).

The current NFL.com poll question is, "Who was the biggest Pro Bowl snub?" Allen Robinson is way ahead now with 43% of the votes. And that is unlimited fan voting.

I mean the catches he made, he got respect from Jets CB Revis with the exchange of Jerseys so maybe this will press him to be even better next season?

He made amazing catches this season. Sometimes I wondered how he caught the ball in tight coverage.

If he was in NY he would've got a lot more media attention than he did in Jacksonville I am sure that is clear to most.

The Jaguars should pay ARob ProBowler money

Quote:First alternate is actually not bad. Maybe another WR will back out of it.
Corky, A-Rob not making it is a joke.

Or almost anywhere else - even on other losing teams.

Just saw this in an article about the Pro Bowl offense written by Marc Sessler:
Quote:For my money, I'd choose Allen Robinson over Megatron.Calvin Johnson is a legend, but he wasn't a top-eight wideout in 2015.

When Bortles wins double digit games it will not be an issue...

Quote:Complete [BAD WORD REMOVED] that neither Robinson, Smith, or Poz got in.
All of them will likely be playing in the game though.
The Pro-Bowl is so bad, that nearly half of the players named to the teams don't even bother with it and back out (due to injuries, Superbowl, etc..)
The actual Pro-Bowl game is basically a feature of 2nd team alternates anyway.
It totally blows.

Allen Robinson was obviously a Pro Bowl snub, but I never expected Blake Bortles to get enough votes. There are too many great quarterbacks to put Blake in as a second-year player.

Quote:ARob has more yards than Fitz, more tds than Green, Marshall, Brown, Julio, no fumbles, the highest ypc of the top 10....
AJ Green has 20 less targets but more yards. And his TD numbers suffered this year due to the Bengals having a slew of legitimate weapons poaching scores (namely Eifert, Jones, Hill).
ARob is definitely deserving,, but Green also belongs for sure. AROB has gotten a good portion of TDS because the Jags cannot score a Touchdown by running it. That's not to diminish ARob in any way, as he still makes those plays. But numbers skew in different ways for different reasons.
Antonio Brown definitely belongs. He is absolutely one of the best WR. He had to play almost half the season with backup QBs that are awful. Thus, numbers dipped somewhat. Michael Vick couldn't hit the broad side of a barn,, and didn't even target Brown much at all. Landry Jones was almost identical in regards to Brown.
Calvin Johnson? Absolutely one of the most talented. But,, not a Pro-Bowl season from him. I'll agree there.

Oh trust me, they will.
First 1k WR since Jimmy that we've been so desperate for.
Him and Hurns will be locked up along with Telvin.
Linder won't be far behind.
