Quote:He was ranked #4 in QBR allowed when targeted over sixty times, a hair over Sherman. Ranked 9th in PD's, two over Ramsey and five away from being number two. He also is exceptional at covering TE's, which always confused me when watching his tape.
QBR is a stat invented by ESPN in order pretend good QB's are bad and bad QB's are good. It's a marketing tool, not anything anyone can use to make a real comparison.

QBR is terrible. ESPN keeps trying to make it a thing.
Quote:It's done. He's a jag.
Who said?
He's not listed in n Texans depth chart
Oh snap. Ryon O said it! WOOT
Just watched his highlights, seemed to grab the recievers a lot. The way the Jags get targeted for penalties he may pull a lot of flags.

1010XL reporting deal is done.

Very expensive but a young good player.
This is pretty big. If he and Jalen lock up the WR's, then the D-line has more time to rush the passer (capt. obvious). Could be huge.
5 years, $76.5 million, $26 million guaranteed, $44 million in first 3 years.
You're welcome everyone. I decided not to renew and the team fired Gus, hired Tom, killed FA and who knows what else. I have been the problem all along.

But when you got money to spend....
MAKE IT RAIN!!!
He's the perfect number 2 CB

The guy I was hoping we get !! Let's goo!!
Bouye had ONE Good year. You want to be the team to find and develop those players, not overpay for them.

Why are people excited about Bouye? What did he do with the Texans that was impressive?

About halfway through last season after that first Titans game, nope I stopped footballing. it was a real question because I didn't pay attention to the Texans. sounds like he only had one good year so he has a very small sample size.
Remember the time when Prince was abused repeatedly on slants by Michael Crabtree?

Best CB defending slant in 2016 (min. five targeted routes): A.J. Bouye, Texans

Bouye was targeted on slants 15 times, allowing five catches for 130 yards and one touchdown, but intercepting three passes. His three interceptions were tied for the lead league with Nolan Carroll. Six of the 10 incompletions were due to Bouye breaking up the pass. These numbers ranked him third among all corners, with a QB rating against of 48.6, and he earned PFF’s highest coverage grade versus the slant. Bouye was beaten once by Cincinnati’s Brandon LaFell, resulting in an 86-yard touchdown with 82 yards after the catch. Excluding this one play, Bouye gave up only 44 total yards on 14 passes for an average yards-per-target of 3.14, and just 4.75 YAC per completion. Bouye was in a cover-1 defense on 14 of the 15 slants, and he lined up on the right side on 12 of the 15 slants. Only one of the 15 targeted passes was on a play where the QB was under pressure, so the rushers can’t get credit for his outstanding performance. Bouye dominated the opposing receiver, making QBs pay when they tried to attack him with the slant.

I agree but he's young and the Jags have the money to splurge plus the Jags are in great shape to sign their own. Not to mention the deal is way front loaded. Really no worries here.
