Quote:If this is really your concern, how can you, in good conscience, allow any of your children use a public restroom alone? Because this could happen now.

If you do, your concern is a bunch of hogwash.
This can't happen now.

A man can't just walk into the ladies restroom bro.

Ladies be all screamin' and stuff.

Dudes be like "hey bro... wrong bathroom"

But under this awesome law that allows gender identity to be a choice you open the door.

THAT is my concern.

I realize creepos come in all shapes and sizes and genders and ages... what I'm worried about is our lovely government appeasing a group in the minority while opening a window for creepos to go undetectable.

and no, my young kids don't use the public restroom by themselves usually.

And my older kids know how to safely operate firearms for protection

Yes it could happen now. And as of now in 98 percent of juristdictional areas he would probably be removed from the business at the least and hopefully have a visit with the police. But with a law stating you may use the bathroom of your choice, there's no consequences whatsoever for that person

Precisely.

There are many more consequences for those forced to use a particular bathroom after a humiliating genital examination.

Hence why I don't vote, and have no faith in human government. It always puts the interests of others above another group when trying to accomplish something; No matter what someone loses. There's no solutions, at least easy or permanent ones. Whose interests are going to lose out? it doesn't matter to me frankly. No matter who wins, someone loses
Soon we are going to let anyone use a bathroom! Goats chickens and even horses!

Government go away and safe my bathroom!

Hyperbole much?

Nobody is proposing that.

Nobody.

Quote:No law anywhere, anytime delineates every right you possess. If what you say is true then you do not have the right to do much of anything at all in this country.
You don't everything comes at a cost and must be earned by the free market. You have the right to bear arms, free speech, the right to a trail, you have the right to refuse to house military members there's a defined separation between civilian police and military and the rest is up to you. You don't have a right to vote, healthcare, housing, fairness, access, internet, clean water, clean air, days off, or anything else. It's up to the individual to axquire all of that.

Rights are things or actions specifically protected by the Constitution and are very limited.

It's up to the the individual to acquire the right to use a common shared resource like clean water and air? I don't follow. Your argument is silly.

Very dangerous thinking, it makes your rights the gift of a piece of paper. You should also give the 9th Amendment the once over, it's very short and very clear.

Treatment of water, you can stick a bucket outside and collect as much as you want. Treating it comes at a cost, your not entitled to have someone clean it for you that's not a right you are owed. You gotta work for that.

I don't see how it's dangerous at all. Rights are actions or privileges owed to you t birth, you have the right to speak freely it's not something you have to earn.

The 9th amendment doesnt disagree it's am amendment limiting the power of the feds. The founders where smart enough to know government would eventually grow to an overwhelming level and they wanted a right for the public to limits its power. We the people have the right to limit governments power. Again it's not something we earn.

You specifically said that rights are few and specified by the Constitution. The 9th says you're wrong.

Water was clean before it was polluted. Who polluted it? Who gave them the right to pollute?

No it's not go find a well anywhere in florida you'll find out how pure water is naturally.

The 9th says we have the right to restrict future growth by the state. It doesn't say anything else is a right or not a right it says the state can not infringe on other unspecified rights.

A clause protecting you from unforseen growth isn't a definition of unlimited rights.

If that's what you believe than you have to agree with solid snake that the government has to protect your right to clean water, air, healthcare, education and whatever else someone wants to claim as thier right.

If it's not defined it's not guaranteed it's on you to earn it.

Floridian well water does not naturally contain pesticides, antibiotics, personal care products, oil, heavy metals and other contaminants.

Wrong, wrong, wrong. The 9th protects all your other unspecified, unenumerated rights from government interference. Your way just means whatever isnt spelled out isnt a right. Thats why you wrongly hold the conflicting thoughts that you have the right to own property but dont have the right to vote. You cannot have it both ways since neither is directly affirmed by Constitutional enumeration.

The right to own property? No I have the opportunity to own property but there's no right to own anything? I have to earn it the government doesnt give me a protection to own land it's beyond their jurisdiction.
