Quote:Blake is developing and i think this franchise should continue to invest in his development at all costs until he emphatically proves that he ISN'T the guy.

That being said, its undeniable that he had about 175 yards and two TDS in the last two games when the team was down by two or more scores and couldn't win the game without the recovery of an onside kick....  And in NE the game was out of reach for much of the second half and i know that he had two long completions in that game.

You should occasionally read the post prior to yours before you post.

The garbage time stuff is irrelevant.

It's the same as Bortles completion percentage due to drops. If you wanna say he has stats padded then you need to account for all other QBs that throw against a prevent defense at some point during a game.

His stats are what they are.
Quote:Never.  Trust the coaches.  We are kindergarteners.

That's why we're 8-30 under the Gus regime.  They know better than we do.
Just remember...

Professionals built the Titanic, amateurs built the ark... 'nuff said.

Take out Tom Brady's garbage time stats and he'd probably be dead last in yards, etc.

Well Garbage time hasn't helped the defense at all.

1 interception through 6 games. Yeah...
I haven't read through all the posts, and I'm not going to. So this has pro robot been said but, we have a lot of talent on the Defense. The problem is the coaching doesn't know what to do with it.

Titanic, Exxon Valdez, Costa Concordia.  All built by professionals - all piloted by amateurs.....'nuff said.
Are there people here seriously saying that the jags defense is decent?

The denial is real.

At the inception of this thread, no, it was not quite the worst of all time.

When Gratz steps onto the field Sunday as the official starter, then the transition will be complete.

Let this week be the judge of that.  If the Bills look like even a decent offense with EJ Manuel throwing the ball to Robert Woods and Who the Hell Knows, then yes, we will be the worst defense of all time.  Losing to the likes of Hasselbeck, Winston, Hoyer, and Manuel should make it pretty clear that they suck.

Worst jaguars scheme in franchise history.

Pro robot! That's one hilarious auto correct!

I think he was referring to FBT.
We may as well throw the Special Teams in with the Defense. What was a strong suit during this tenure is now really weak suddenly. We can't kick a field goal, can't tackle a returner, commit many penalties, can't pin teams back, and we block for the opposing team on punts.

Quote:Even with three picks though?

The pick at the end came when down 2 scores and forcing something to happen because he had to. He probably wouldn't have 3 picks in that game if defense played well. 2 is a better argument and yes we could have won with 2 picks even with a pick 6.
