All time low was when I wanted to chug bleach every Sunday. Right now I just want to punch myself in the crotch every Sunday. #GettingBetter
Quote:I've been around forever, and Mularkey was a better coach.

This single handedly sealed your fate as the Jaguars village idiot. CONGRATS BUDDY!!
Jaguars greatest coach

Coughlin

Jaguars good coach

J.D.R.

all others...

Mularkey = Bradley

Quote:It's even more sad because we have talent. Gus doesn't know what to do with those guys that you have posted above.

We have those guys though. We aren't angry or depressed at the performance because the team is devoid of talent like we were two or three seasons ago. We're angry or depressed because we know this team has talent. We know this team could and should be doing better NOW. That's not a sign of being at rock bottom.

Yeah, Gus has Hurns/ARob/Bortles

Mularkey had Gabbert/Henne/Drunk Blackmon/Gene Smith...Right.

Yeah, man...  It's hard to determine if Mularkey or Bradley is the worst coach.  The luck that Bradley got was that Caldwell is 1,000,000X's the GM that 'Smiff was...
Rock bottom to me was when we drafted Bryan Anger in 3rd round. Just soldified how stupid Gene was and how laughable we were as a franchise

People actually look at this team now and see we have a qb and wrs developing

I have my Jaguars gear on and people telling me positive things for once

Of course they get their laughs but its not as bad as it was with Gabbert/Gene era

It's very hard to be objective about this team but being blown out each week crushed me. Knowing the game was pretty much over at half time is way worse than this.

I do throw things more now tho, it's more frustration than deadened despair

If you take potential out of the equation the only position groups I would rather have than the current worst team in the league (0-5 lions) are all affected by injury

Qb (Stafford is playing horribly), Te, Dt, o line

Everywhere else I think the lions are currently more talented even if we are younger and have more potential. We have the ability and show flashes but don't have the consistency which is what makes great players great.

Each game we lost had a play which kicked the wind out of the team and shifted momentum completely

Bortles pick 6

Myers miss in overtime

Grant fumble

The average age of those players responsible is 23.4 ish

I'm torn because what Caldwell has done tearing up the roster has never been done before and may not be done again so can we judge progress by normal standards

I do also think a guy like Bradley was the only guy that could keep the locker room together through the bad times but I'm not convinced he is the guy to take us forward

I believe I had a point but I've lost it now
I think we have had this same exact discussion every year the past 5 years around the same time. I can't wait to read it again next year.

But this isn't the same discussion. In 2012-2013, the team had Gabbert and Henne under center. This year we have a guy among the league leader in passing.

This conversation somehow veered in the wrong direction to which I intended.  I was pointing out the fact that now the organization is blaming the fans and calling us names because they haven't a clue as to why they aren't winning.  I don't think it can get lower than that for some strange reason.  I just have a different opinion than some.

"The organization is blaming the fans". That is one of the lamest things I have read on this board.

Let's see we're ignorant to football, we are kindergartners, and we are dumb.  About sums that argument up.

Keep defending sir.

"We are dumb". All of this because Lageman said one caller to his radio show was dumb? Are you seriously that sensitive?

On the contrary, just pointing out how lame they have become to defend Bradley for this disaster.  If you give Bradley year 1 and 2 off, he is still 1-4 this year.  With a built team.  Just because a caller, who feels the same frustration as a lot of fans do on this board, calls in and is upset, why go off the deep end to defend someone like Bradley while alienating the fans?  That's my gripe.

Your gripe is his reaction to one caller to his radio show. And somehow you want to try and make it the "organization" is calling the fans dumb. Again, you are way too sensitive.

You have difference of opinion.  I'm just calling it like I see it.

I know. You are trying to make a mountain out of a molehill.

You're surprised?

Bortles called the fans kindergarteners. Oehser doesn't directly call out fans who complain, but the implication is there in his responses. Add in Lageman who not only directly called a fan "dumb" but insisted that discussion of Gus' record was off limits. Oehser and Lageman are the organization people who directly interact with the fans. So y
eah, I'd say "organization" was an accurate term.
