Go away, loser.

Quote:DiRocco and Oehser are tweeting about it as well. He's verbally destroying the team, apparently. It reads to me like a guy who knows there's a good chance today is his last day as the coach of the Jaguars, and wants to give Caldwell and Khan reason to give him a few more games to turn it around.

I don't think it is that.  It is easy for us fans to sit back angrily blaming everything on Gus and expecting him to be selfish trying to save his job, but Gus has put in a lot of time, work and effort and I'm sure he is extremely frustrated and disappointed as we are.  Doesn't change his fate, but to think he is solely doing that to save his job is ridiculous.  Gus has been consistent with who he is since he has been in Jacksonville.

From a players perspective I think this may be a dark omen. How does the leader of the super sunshine fan club get nasty with his team? I would see that as a red flag. Idk, I hope it works though, I thought from the get go we were getting the DO YOUR JOB Bradley anyway. Meh, I doubt he gets fired either way. We get to see if it works. Being a little nasty is always good. Its the nature of the sport.

Quote:Tweet from Mark Long (@APMarkLong) - Jaguars coach Gus Bradley ripped into team after latest loss. His message essentially was "enough is enough."

Too little too late?

Yes.  Too late.  If he's fired tomorrow I won't care...

I'm not saying they should fire him tomorrow.  But there's really no argument that can be made that matters anymore...  The guy is a detriment to the team.  He's literally a very bad HC.

I'm not going to say he's the worst, or go all crazy.  But I will say he sucks as a HC.  He needs to be fired as soon as humanly possible.  If that's tomorrow or at the end of the season, whatever.

Just get him gone.

Yup. And he has consistently been a bad coach.

This is what I was thinking. Gus most likely expected this team to be winning games these past 2 weeks. It's probably more enraging this week because it's the defense that cost us and he's a defensive coach.

Not defending him but that's most likely it.

That's fair and I don't disagree.  But easy for us keyboard warriors to destroy the mans integrity.  Anyways, separate him being a bad coach from him being a bad person.  Two different things.
I think he'd be a good coach at the college level. His defense is trash in the NFL.

Totally agree. Never said he was a bad person and I don't think anyone on this board called him a bad guy.

But he sure is a bad coach. Lose to a LuckLess Colts team and a Tampa team with a rookie QB who has had a turnover in ever game this season.....

It's not entirely to save his job, no, but Gus Bradley is a smart man (despite what his coaching would lead you to believe). He's probably pretty well-aware that he's rapidly approaching a point at which his job will be on the line each week, assuming he hasn't already crossed the Rubicon, and another post-game "rah rah progress, rah rah build on, let's eat ice cream" display in the locker room would make him appear completely clueless to Caldwell and Khan. By changing his tune and blasting his players, he's showing them that he knows the heat is on and is changing his approach to respond to it.
weak....stop paying this dude to do NOTHING. next

The message he should be delivering is "well guys its been a pleasure coaching you all and getting ice cream after games, but ive been let go"
That's it man! You all got better but I don't think you competed enough! You demonstrated your spirit but you weren't the best Jay-gwires you can be! What a great game to be a part of man but we're never satisfied we want more! We believe in victory! Yea! Your punishment is frozen yogurt instead of ice cream today! No sprinkles! That's right you heard me! But Blake was team MVP so he still gets a pint of Americone Dream!!!!

People have certainly implied it whether they meant to or not.

I agree.  No excuse for us not making Winston uncomfortable and to lose on D when our offense was extremely productive.  We had break downs in special teams, o-line and defense.  That is basically the entire team failing in all areas.  That isn't acceptable.  Every team has bad games, but we have been too poor for too long.  If Gus is fired tomorrow I will understand it.  If he is the coach for the rest of the year than so be it.  Either way, he is most likely gone after this year.
The defense just look sluggish and lazy all game. We had some decent pass break ups but the rush D was inexcusable. Whiffs everywhere and loading the box did nothing to slow it down. That's just attitude and test of will and we failed it with flying colors.

Just heard on 1010 that Gus had a package, for who would be, our 5th string RB if DRob was healthy. How the [BAD WORD REMOVED], does a 5th string RB get a package? [BAD WORD REMOVED]?

It's just hard to me to understand how this defense is so bad knowing he's a defensive minded coach having been brought over from that great Seahawks defense. I thought at least the defense would show something, but they're rock bottom. The only thing I can figure is that the entire scheme is predicated on having a top level LEO and OTTO, and he doesn't exactly have either.

If i were a player i wouldve said hey [BLEEP] use your damn timeouts when there is still a chance.
O'Halloran is suggesting that Gus should reassign/fire Babich and take over as D-coordinator. Couldn't hurt at this point if we're stuck with Bradley.
