Sad because how fast we scored and brought it within 7, if we had actually used the timeouts earlier we could have had a chance to win. This loss is on the defense and coaching. It's too much to ignore anymore.

Arob running wide open on two occasions and Bortles misses him. The first time for a give me TD. The second time ending in an interception because Bortles forces a pass to Lewis.


Little things like this are the difference between a win and a loss.

Yea but if he does then shame on Caldwell.  DC better not let Gus have anything to do with cutting players.  Gus missed his opportunities to lead over the last 2+ years.  I'm not for him trying to flail at this point.  He's dead weight, get rid of him.  I've wanted him gone since the beginning of last season when the team wasn't prepared for game 1 then.  To me his lack of leadership is very clear.  He's a super nice guy but a horrible HC.

I know.  I was just as frustrated with that as anyone else.  But the D and special teams lost this game.  I just can't blame Bortles when he throws for over 300 yards and 4 TD's.  He left plays on the field, but also made some great throws.

Bortles is not the reason why we lost. Like you said, the defense and special teams was.

I hate to say it, but indeed; it appears that Gus Bradley has bitten off more than he can chew having been dealt a difficult hand by the GM (Dave Caldwell) who stuck him with a roster of mostly rookies. Of course, that GM pretty much had to gut the team considering the abomination that was left here by the previous GM (Gene Smith). Of course, that GM could've been and should've been gotten under control by the original owner (Wayne Weaver).

Lets not ignore Caldwell's terrible free agent signings over the years too.

Other Head Coaches in the league right now would have this team at 3-2 or 4-1 IMO.

Fire Gus and let him coach the ROAR. His infectious, positive attitude would do wonders for those ladies' confidence. "Go out there and demonstrate your spirit! Give me a J-a-y-g-w-i-r-e-s!!!!!"

He just might be too nice of a guy to be any kind of good HC. I have always heard Tony Dungy was too nice of a HC too, but he did have PM for all those years, and he got fired from Tampa.

 

We'll see what happens after the yelling and screaming he did after today's loss.
