You can micro analyze his stats all you want. All I know is I have seen improvement from him in many areas. He's still very raw, and isn't experienced enough to take the team to a win by himself. He's not experienced enough to consistently beat stacked boxes. Next season, I expect him to start ascending into the top half of the league.
Dey dook ahr derbs!

I like Bortles's progression thus far

This thread is for senseless whining and complaining only.  Not positivity.  Please exit to door right.
I am posting.
Quote:Which is still bad. Michael vick territory.

Absolutely, it's still bad. It's not Peyton Manning first 16 games bad, or anything. But it's not good.
Woohoo! Our franchise QB has gone from being one of the worst in the league to only below average. Playoffs 2020 here we come, when he finally gets a positive TD:INT ratio and completes over 60% of his passes.  Wallbash

I am going to create a user ID on the Jaguars message board so I can talk smack about the starting quarterback of the Jaguars. Cool.

Bortles isn't special by any means, I've been complaining about Jags QBs since the days of Garrard and then Gabbert. I get that many are willing to jump for excitement at the slightest hint of decent QB play, but look at the team in relation to the rest of the league. The Jags might as well be a professional practice squad.

Der ka DERRRRRRRRRRRRRR!
We all know that a franchise quarterback's career is all about his first 17 games.

In his 2nd year, Vince Young had both a higher YPA and completion percentage than Bortles has in his 2nd year. In an era where passing stats are no where near inflated as they are today. Let that sink in for a bit.  Sick

I'd cherry-pick a few that would make my point as well, but we ALL know there's plenty of those.

So do it? I'm not sure what point you want to make? I'm not saying VY is a better QB, obviously not, but Bortles doesn't exactly keep good company when comparing his performance relative to other NFL QBs.
good point, Baconator

You can't, that's against the rules. Section 150, chapter 3 says you may not have multiple accounts.

In what stats you choose to use. He has more yards passing than Aaron Rodgers this year. And as many TD's as Matt Ryan.
