Quote:Yes, but he is now less of a necessity.
Necessity is how bad franchises stay bad. Unfortunately, I fear the Jags will think Fournette is a necessity.

Not saying anything has changed (in my mind) but their moves point to them drafting Fournette.

yeah. Ideally you still draft him and have the best 4 on the field
but i just dont believe in these guys enough to do that. I can see Dave believing Fournette is the key to the Bortles salvation project unfortunately.

Yep, Dave's legacy rides on Blake so I can see him being hellbent on trying to salvage him to the point that he makes the pick that won't be as good for the success of the franchise overall.
I'm still on board with Thomas at. Make it happen and you have a fantastic dline that has potential to be terrifying and a great rotation too.
I agree that I don't think they'll go this route (and as I said I don't think Thomas is there for us at 4) but still hoping they will.
I was really high on Solomon Thomas and he has for sure not shown anything so far.
To be fair I don't know why the 49ers play him mostly outside when his best quality was rushing from the DT spot. They've been using him outside like we did with Bryan for most of this season(and recently we are finally moving him back inside), wonder if they'll give him a shot as a 3T next year if they pick Bosa for the outside.
But yeah, so far him picked at 3 hasn't nearly paid off.
