He's an ACC homer, but he is also on the radio and doesn't want to look like an idiot by saying _______ conference is better than the SEC overall.

This whole argument started by somebody complaining about Arkansas being hyped preseason.  It's actually pretty often I see Joe FSU fan in here belly-aching about SEC bias in the polls.  Not sure who are the ones needing more validation.

Lol, god yes.  Finally got to admit what I knew all along!!!  Can I be an FSU fan and a SEC (prisco voice) fan?  That is like the best of both worlds.

Their QB, Johnson, is the one of the worst ones I can remember at a major program in a long time. Hell, Driskell was never that bad.

 

I never thought I'd see a Gus Malzahn offense be this bad.  It's pathetic.  You would think he would have qb's lined up out the door to go play for him.

You still have Alabama, Ole Miss, Texas A&M, and LSU. Pretty dang solid. There's not  a better foursome on one side of a conference in the country.

they weren't even in the top 50 AP preseason poll in 2014 or 2013....

 

In 2012 they were ranked 10th after going 11-2 in 2011.

Last year a ton of SEC blowhards were telling us how good of a football team they were despite having registered a 6 in the L column. I'm just wondering when we're finally gonna see how good this team is.

That team was as good as anybody by the end of the year.  I guess you are ignorant of the talent they sent to the draft.  Google it and you will see why they are struggling on defense this year.

 

They lost to Alabama by 1 point.  Beat Ole Miss and LSU.  Destroyed Texas in their bowl game as any good team should.  That is why they were hyped preseason, but losing the defensive pieces and their best offensive player are proving costly.  Those are the facts.  Please keep your agenda out of it.

by 7... Missouri won the SEC East.  Being "as good" does not mean they win every game.  I didn't think that needed explaining.

Being "as good" is pretty self explanatory. Losing to an average Missouri team that was blown out in multiple games is not the calling card of a team "as good" as any team.

I am 100% against talking up the SEC. I have always hated people doing that because they act like all 12 or 14 teams are much better than everyone else. Get real. Many SEC teams suck but fans keep saying because they are in the SEC it must be better than most teams in the Big Ten, Big 12, or ACC. Ignore the conference name when you are talking about whether a team sucks or not.

And then there are Kentucky, Tennessee, Vanderbilt, Florida, South Carolina . . . So along with some "pretty dang sold" teams there are also many pretty dang hollow teams.
