Quote:Not correct. Strength of schedule is one of the protocols the committee looks at. Head to head as well. Strength of conference most certainly is huge still.
Either way, folks will get the points I've brought up ad nauseam, or they will choose not to. This thread proves that.
Quote:Don't forget game control.I'm not forgetting anything. Just pointing out the two that was brought up by JT that said weren't a factor anymore. With that being said, SOS and H2H appear to be 2 and 3 on the committee's protocol.
Quote:Gator fans have got to have something to cheer for this year.
Quote:UCLA thrashing Arizona in Arizona.
Utah thrashing Oregon in Oregon.
These games have Michigan looking better by the minute.

Quote:Wow. What an ending here in the TCU-Texas Tech game.
Quote:I went to Stetson. I'm not a hardcore UF fan however. I'm a casual fan and I lose 0 sleep when they lose. Very different from the Nole homers here who literally cry when they lose.

Quote:Not correct. Strength of schedule is one of the protocols the committee looks at. Head to head as well. Strength of conference most certainly is huge still. It really isn't. Most likely it'll be 4 teams from 4 different conferences. You have a better shot making it to the playoffs in the ACC than you do the SEC.

Quote:This is on point. You saw it last year with the cfp sliding fsu down gradually. I'm curious to see if they do the same with ohio st if they are winning close games that should be blow outs.
Quote:And FSU made the playoffs even with a weak schedule.
Quote:Yes, their schedule is even worse this year. I hear people saying you can't leave out a undefeated ACC champ. Evem if FSU is undefeated, I don't see them getting in. The CFP committee put one loss teams ahead of a undefeated defending national champion. I don't see a ACC team making it unless clempson doesn't pull a clempson. If FSU goes undefeated they will definitely be in.

How is the schedule even worse this year?
