I thought it would be good to have a post to discuss who will have the best second year.  Bonus question, who will have the most wins in 2015?

 

 

I think Bridgewater has the most 2015 wins and Bortles has the best year in terms of yards/TDs but may also lead the group in interceptions.

Bridgewater, with Bortles showing good improvement.

 

I think DC will be exposed this year.  When i watch him, i just don't see it.

Why's Manziel not an option?

Bortles throws 26tds and 14 picks and has the better sophmore season

That would work for me!  I'm expecting a much improved season, but i still expect ints to be an issue, at least for another season.

 I definitely can envision this happening.

 

 Teddy Bridgewater should benefit greatly with Adrian Peterson in the Vikings backfield.   While Peterson will probably be amongst the NFL Rushing yards and TD leaders,  hence limiting Bridgewater's stats to some extent,   the Vikings team has the potential of even having a double digit winning season if their Offensive Line answers the many questions surrounding it.

i have high hopes for all 3. wont be surprised if they all take the next step.

I can see that as well. Peterson should earn a couple wins just by himself.

  It's going to be interesting to see if the presence of Amari Cooper and Michael Crabtree ( if he's close to the pre-injury version  ) can help raise Derek Carr's game to a level that will make the Raiders much more competitive in the AFC West than they have been.   While I'm far from ready to form the opinion that Carr is a true long term answer,  in fairness to him he didn't have that much surrounding him in his rookie season.    Not to mention an in-season Head Coach change,     Cooper alone should be a huge boost to the Raiders Offense and entire team.  

I think Bridgewater will have the better season this season because he has a better team around him. Long term, I see Bridgewater being frail and injury prone, and I honestly see Bortles becoming a top 15 qb

I think I am a believer in Carr (also Bortles and Bridgewater) but mostly because he has some good weapons.  Amari, Crabtree, Rivera, and Latavius Murray will make it easier for Carr to improve on what was good statistical year.  They play in a tough division though.

 

Bortles' toughest division opponent is JJ Watt defensively and duel with Luck.  Carr has to avoid Von Miller, Ware, Hali, Houston and duel Manning/Rivers/Smith (who I think is most like Carr).  Bridgewater has no cake walk either dueling Rodgers/Stafford and Van Noy, Ansah, Ngata, Matthews, Peppers, Allen.

 

Where as Bortles may only need to score 20 to 24 points to win division games, Carr and Bridgewater will need 30+ to keep up with those high octane offenses.

Bridgewater looked solid tonight. 

Bortles (best TE Thomas out of these teams) having a good TE matters to have a good passing game and completion percentage..

That'll be the order in my opinion..

After seeing the Jaguars first pre-season game and watching highlights. I would put Bridgwater and Bortles pretty much in a tie for being "best" at this point.  Carr did not look good from the highlights that I saw, but that could be a product of what he has around him.  Manziel won't be in the league long.

Teddy's short to intermediate throws are on point. Blake throws a better deep ball IMO. Once AP is back on the field though I would expect to see Teddy's numbers subside.


Both Blake and Teddy look like they've left Carr, Manziel, and the other 2nd year qbs a couple steps behind

Bridgewater will have more wins this year because he plays on a better team but Blake will prove to be the best QB of the 2014 class when its all said and done.
