Tom Brady - QB - Patriots
Appearing on ESPN, Stephen A. Smith said the NFL will announce Tom Brady's four-game suspension has been upheld within the next 24-48 hours.
Stephen A. is not the kind of media personality we normally cite for breaking news. But Adam Schefter also opined similarly Tuesday morning, saying the NFL doesn't feel "inclined to budge much" and adding he expects the suspension to stay at four games. Making an announcement before the Patriots open training camp Thursday is only fair. Brady and the NFLPA won't go down without a fight though, as they'll sue the NFL in court and try to get Brady on the field Week 1.

That would be great news. But until the Jags game in week 3 starts and Tom Brady is not there, I will not celebrate his suspension.
I want Brady playing. To be the best you gotta beat the best.

To heck with that.
Nobody cared when our starters missed time with injuries. Nobody cares that we'll be without Fowler.
If Brady violated the rules with the team's help, and Brady did not cooperate with the investigators, then if the rules and the law allows it, he needs to be suspended.
I will take wins any way I can get them.
BTW, we don't know how Garoppolo will perform in Brady's absence. For all we know, the Pats have themselves another pro Bowl caliber signal caller sitting on the bench.

Nah. I'm good with facing Garoppolo.

but what if we still lose?

I guess I will be forced to tie a cinder block to my ankles and jump into the St Johns River.

Then the world will literally end. Humanity will fade into oblivion.

that seems a bit extreme
im saying id rather lose to Tom Brady than Jimmy Garapaoolulu
Jags will steamroll the Pats no matter who is at QB.
The Patriots are still going to be very tough to beat in Foxborough, with or without Brady. Of course, not having Brady helps the Jags. But, it's not going to be an easy task at all.
I think the game will come down to who can run/stop the run. The Patriots often rely heavily on a running game, even with Brady in the game. The Jags will have to stop the run consistently for 4 qtrs, or it will be a loss, IMO.

Agreed. I've got no problem with going up against the Pats minus Brady. If we win, great. That will be one we weren't expecting initially. Of course, the experts will all dismiss it, but a win is a win no matter how you got it.

A loss is a loss. I like our chances against Garoppolo. Brady? Not so much.
It won't matter. I'm positive Brady will challenge it in court and seek an injunction that will allow him to play while the case gets figured out by a judge. Suspension or no suspension we'll be seeing Brady on week 3.
Can't do the time, don't do the crime
How often over the last few years have we made a backup QB look like an All-Pro? If Cousins or Whitehurst can light us up, why couldn't Garoppolo? Winning in New England will be tough no matter who is playing QB.
So, it's said that Brady supposedly destroyed his phone. Which, emboldened the league to uphold because of the lack of cooperation.
Do Brady and Goodell not realize messages etc aren't solely stored on the device itself?
Pats fans are apparently very happy with this decision; because we all know that this is going to end up in court.

What happens in the event that a judge rules in favor of Brady, but Goodell still doesn't overturn the suspension?
